I've been reading other Supernatural sites and some fans seem upset about the writing, lack of Sam pov, etc. So... I was wondering if Supernatural gets a season 8, will you watch it? By the way I'd be a definite yes.

No, I wouldn't...assuming there is a season 8.
The show has lost it's focus without Kripke. I pray this is the last season.

I'm hoping if there is a season 8 that Sera won't feel the need to go all out and just return to the basics that made Supernatural a great show.

I would watch Supernatural if it consisted merely of Jensen and Jared reading from the phone book. They are just too hot to NOT watch. So, as for season 8? Bring it!

Sera is an okay writer, but a lousy show runner. Her mind doesn't have the scope and weirdness that Eric has. She reminds me of when Dawn Ostroff ran the CW...utter chaos.
But I must say, I LOVED the last episode. However, just because two episodes (MTNB and the recent one) were awesome doesn't excuse the utter CRAP that has been S7.

I'm not loving Sera as showrunner especially since she off'd Bobby and I wish Kripke was coming back but that's the way the cookie crumbles unfortunately. As I've always said I'm in it for the long haul and there's no stopping me from watching the show. I still love it.

I would probably watch season 8 of Supernatural. The only thing that would make me reconsider would be Castiel returning as a regular. He throws off the balance of the show for me and I find myself dreading the episodes when I know he is going to appear. I'm not saying I would definitely leave if Cas came back, but it would affect my decision.

As long as Jensen and Jared are part of Supernatural, I will always watch it. Side characters don't really matter to me. I am most interested in Dean and Sam. I've generally liked the peripheral characters who have come and gone.....even Bela (especially after she left!), but it's the two main characters that have kept me a loyal viewer for the last 6+ years. And that will not change.

Though I hope they don't--no offense, but I'd rather take him in smaller doses where the storyline would make sense for us to see him, rather than having him be a regular and the writers have to figure out a way to have him be in an X number of episodes.

BTW Season 8, 9, 10 ETC. As long as Sam and Dean are played by Jared and Jensen I will watch to the end. They have me hooked like a large mouth bass. ;D My photo op picture with Jensen has really catch everyone's attention in my office. Even the female jantor ask me about it. She thought maybe it was photo shop. I let her know I was standing next to the hunk of manhood. My Co worker melted in a puddle when she saw him. I told her to stop drooling on my picture. Good thing I put it in a frame. She just kept repeating he is perfect looking.

Hi Captivefan. I am all for a Season 8. I have enjoyed Season 7 so far and if Jared and Jensen are in well I know I'm in to.

Also, I wonder if those images were photoshopped, particularly Jensen's. I turned in my SPN fan card during S7. But... I've got to admit that I am interested in how Jeremy Carver would run things. JC was a fave writer, and I was really bummed when I heard he wouldn't be writing for S6.

So, here we are, with only 3 episodes left in the season and we still don't know if Supernatural has been renewed for an 8th season? What's the hang-up? I'm getting more than a little concerned. Last year, we know long before the end of the season about the renewal and the delay is making me nervous. Have any other CW shows been notified of renewal/cancellation yet? I don't know because the only show I watch on CW is Supernatural. Of course, we all know CW is run by monkeys so perhaps they're busy playing with their poop and have yet to discover that the end of the season is fast approaching.

Nothing yet but producer Jim Michaels is very hopeful. 4 episodes left including tonight and the finale. I'm not watching the finale if Supernatural isn't renewed. I don't want to be left hanging.

If they can fix the train wreck of a season that Sera has created I will watch S8. I had been thinking about letting SPN go if she stayed in charge but with JC coming back I have hope that the show can at least come back to part of what it used to be.
The writing has been different, the lighting is just odd, and don't even get me started on the editing. Even J2 seem different in how they act and I am not sure if that is intentional or if that is the direction they are being given. So let's see if the show is renewed how JC can make it better!

It is disappointing that we have heard nothing yet. I would think the final episode storyline would depend on whether or not the show is renewed. Perhaps they shot alternate endings.
