After watching "Party On, Garth!" I am absolutely sure that this character must die. He is one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen on the show.
I just HATE Garth. He's an idiot, and his voice just grates on my nerves!!! God, I was hoping the Shojo would take this guy out.
If only they would bring back Ash again...somehow. :heart:
Somebody please kill off this character. Now.

Could there be a cheesier line than "You've just been Garthed"? Any chance I had at liking this character ended when he said this (twice).

DJ Qualls is just not my "cup of tea." I have always found his voice and mannerisms more than a little annoying. He was okay in the episode, but really did not pull off the "Fed"with those two girls at the restaurant or the GI at the morge. He did seem to clue in rather quickly to the possibility of ghost Bobby faster than Dean and Sam, so I have to give him that. But the character is more comic relief and gets old quickly.
Would rather that Dean and Sam just talk to him on the phone occasionally rather than actually work with him on a case again.

There is a sad irony about having the most useless and harmless of all the characters the show has fostered, be the one left standing and just refusing to die.
I can smile at that for about 20 seconds, then all the negative come flooding in. If a hunter can be so clueless, the monsters of the world just got about 10% as dangerous as I thought they were.
Garth is how Dean would be if they merged Psych with SPN. To my knowledge that hasn't happened, and so he's out of place.
Can't see them killing him off, but can always hope he's only going to pop in once every other season or so.

 His best line was off screen in Weekend At Bobby's when Bobby told him to call the FBI and he called Bobby back.  Bobby asked him how are you still alive. I think I like him because I always think about that conversation when I see him. He might be annoying, but he does know how to hunt. *ducks head, runs away*

His best line was off screen in Weekend At Bobby's when Bobby told him to call the FBI and he called Bobby back. ![]() Bobby asked him how are you still alive. I think I like him because I always think about that conversation when I see him. He might be annoying, but he does know how to hunt. *ducks head, runs away* Yeah I had a good giggle at that moment myself  I'm not sure I agree on the good hunter part. Seems like he was just "Oh it must be a ghost, salt and burn" no investigating and checking if the ghost left anything behind since it was killing in a forest yet buried in the cemetery, didn't bother do a follow up at all. Seems like a proper Magoo kind of luck he isn't ganked yet  |

I have no problem with the Actor that plays Garth. In fact I like him in the movie The New Guy. I just don't like Garth, if Garth was a real hunter he wouldn't have lasted a year. It totally does not make sense that Bobby was hook Dean up with Garth to work a job. He wouldn't risk Dean's safety with someone so incompetent. The last episode they did attempt to make him more intelligent which made him more likable then his first episode. But he is no Frank. Bring back Frank from the dead. He was awesome paranoid and he loved winding Dean up. In fact I enjoyed the interactions between Dean and Frank much better than Dean and Garth.
