My daughter insisted that I watch this so that we can discuss it after she watches it. Looks like a very entertaining series.

yeah it looks entertaining enough for me to stick with it. I liked it last night. But I'm a sucker for Broadway plays anyway. I love to go once or twice a year to see a play in Manhattan....

The pilot was really good. One of the best I've ever seen. But I think the quality of the musical numbers can't be sustained on a weekly series. And I'm not sure if the backstage drama can compensate.. so I'm cautiosly optomistic about this show...

Some of the music is really good.
Katharine McPhee is pretty but the blonde seems to be more of a Marilyn. I was disappointed that part of her musical performance from the commercials was missing. It was the part that really made her stand out.

It's somewhat entertaining. I don't enjoy it as much as other shows, but it has qualities that make it enjoyable at times.
Katharine McPhee is pretty. Megan Hilty is gorgeous. Debra Messing looks good for her age.
And the music! Now that's music. Well, some of it. They include a lot of junk that isn't music.

Another good episode. Karen sure is pretty, especially when she's dancing in as sexy outfit.
I'm surprised no one has used the word "understudy". Meanwhile, they sure are trying to keep her out of the spotlight.

I haven't seen this show yet but Raza Jaffrey who plays Dev Sundaram is one of my favourite actors.
Does he play a good and/or substantive role in this show?

It just seems like another Glee show to me. Not to me. There are some similarities in the music, but it's totally different. They do a lot of good music on this show. And some garbage. Karen is so pretty and I like that she may get a chance to be Marilyn. I always wondered why there was no "understudy" but now there will have to be.

It's looking good for Karen.
I was looking at newspaper articles and it seems the major criticism is the irrelevant romantic storylines. I quite agree.

Julia is cheating on her husband with Michael, the man who is playing Joe DiMaggio. So now Michael has been fired, which is a shame, because he was great.

They had to fire Michael or the white gay guy would have told about Julia and Michael hooking up.

Well, it should have never been written that way. Michael should have stayed in the play.
Last night's episode really got the show off track. I think they're making a big mistake. They should stick with the original Broadway style music and leave the One Republic mess out of it. Or they could end it that way but leave all the other stuff in.
Part of Karen's appeal is that she's the girl next door. They made her sexy last night and wrecked her. At least she was sorry.
There was so much apologizing One Republic should probably record a song called "Apologize".
Is this thing on?

I feel so bad for Ivy. But it's nice that she and Karen became friends while Ivy was drunk. She was so mean to Karen at first that she reminded me of Naomi on "90210". With all the good music on last night's episode, why did those two have to perform something that wasn't music? Karen looked so cute in her green outfit for the orange juice commercial. I would like to have seen the finished product.

Which one fell all dressed up? It was Ivy that fell. Karen reminds me of Sabrina on "Raising Hope". I used to think Sabrina was pretty, and she is, but compared to Karen she just looks so plain. I got a double dose of that show this week because one week last Fall my TiVo refused to record any more shows until I got rid of the ones that were there. "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" won't air any more new episodes for a while if at all, and it just happens the rerun this week was the episode I missed.

I'm happy about what happened to Karen but I feel sorry for Lily. So far, it looks like Marilyn will be a star. I didn't recognize Uma Thurman.

It was so funny the way they ended it.
"I've got lots of ideas."
"She's got lots of ideas."
She sings like Taylor Swift (except in the fantasy, where she's quite talented), so I thought that would have decided it. She needs to go. But she really is trying, getting a vocal coach and listening to the others instead of saying it has to be her way.
I like the way Karen and Ivy get along. But I like Karen so much I hope she gets it.

Yeah, well, they wanted a musical. She's a spoiled brat but tries to act like she's not.
That was mean what Ivy did to Karen. But there's still hope for Karen to get the part.

There's a lot of music in this show that isn't worth hearing. I do wish they'd stick to the Broadway style.
I think Sam is the name of the man whose family we met. I like them.
I'm still enjoying it but hate that it's almost over. But it is geting another season!
I think of this show when I see Rachel on "Glee" trying to make her Broadway dreams come true. She was just devastated this week and I think we all were. We've known all this time and rooted for her. And she has this spoiled brat "I'm a star" quality about her that Uma's character has, but for her it's adorable. She's kind of a stuck-up version of Karen. But this latest development is such a letdown.
