I'm wondering if Martin Scorsese is going to be involved, given his excellent work with Boardwalk Empire on HBO.

As long as he's involved, I'll be interested! Goodfellas was one of my favorite movies. IMO better than The Godfather Pt 1.

Now who to cast?

Exactly. Good question. Who could ever recreate the characters Joe Peschi, Ray Liotta, and Robert DeNiro played? Those are some mighty big shoes to fill.

I'll go one further than you. I think it's better than Godfather II, even. It's been at the top of my top ten list for a couple of decades now.

I certainly hope that Scorsese will be involved, but I'm still a little gun-shy of AMC after the way they treated Frank Darabont on The Walking Dead.
