Welcome ...to the Pizza Test Kitchen. You are invited to share your pizza adventures here...from the most basic to the complex. Test #1 : Sauces A-1 Steak Sauce Parmesan Garlic by Buffalo Wild Wings Ortega Hot Taco Sauce All were a success. I used only pepperoni for toppings so as not to have too much going on and confuse the tastes. I found that when heated/baked, the sauces seemed to become much saltier...so do not use too much of them. A light and thin spread should be enough. I also found the the BWW Parm/Garlic works great as a crust flavoring. Remember...your adventures need not be home made ones...any pizza that is a smile is welcome here.

Pete Saparte? Oh wait... Pizza Party!!! Awesome!!! You never cease to give us smiles, Timmy! I don't experiment with pizza that much... I just like my simple double cheese pizza... although, I don't mind the Bacon! There is one kind of pizza that my family (dad's side) always gets... cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives... makes me sick everytime. I just want my cheese!!! "Take the toppings you don't like off" my dad says, but it's not the same... I even tried compromising with the meat eaters pizza, at least I get my cheese and bacon, and I don't mind the other meats, and the rest of the family gets something more filling than just cheese... They won't even get store brought pizza and buy the toppings separate. I would much rather have that...

Try substituting Sky Line Chili sauce for the pizza sause. That's pretty good. It's the closest I've found to when Chef Boyardi used to make a sausage pizza mix. I finally indulged recently and bought a local pizza that looked SO good because I had a coupon. It was so bland it was almost like eating plain bread but worse. The pizza I like best is over 60 miles from where I live now and it's so good that plain cheese beats anything else anyone has to offer (for me anyway). They have oregano on the pizza and it just sets everything off so well. It's also very greasy.

This may be out of either laziness or habit but i am stuck on frozen pizzas with added extra cheese. I always buy the pizzas w/pepperoni. And yes, quality does matter here. Some brands of frozen pies are better than others.

I like Red Baron and Tony's the best. But since neither have been on sale lately Celeste isn't too bad for being cheap.

Geno's is cheap, but good Fredonia mini pizzas were the best....but I fear that they are no longer made.

Which frozen pizza brand is the best? California Pizza Kitchen! ;D OMG Yum! I think I'm gonna have to agree with you there... They don't have it in northern Florida, I don't think, but a good brother/friend of mine from college took me to that restaurant at the mall in Orlando. I got the Bacon and Cheese pizza and it was Heavenly! I'd say that's the best bacon and cheese pizza I've ever had!

They have one pizza here in Maryland that I am not too eager to try but it's Macaroni and Cheese pizza, and we used to have a place called Shakey's that sold pizza that was kinda like a salad which meant it had lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, olives and peppers on the pizza, it was the only place I have ever seen that had lettuce on the actual pizza and you know what? it wasn't bad at all!

Papa Johns! That's the best local chain in my opinion... right after California Pizza Kitchen which Timmy must find and have their bacon cheeseburger! Unfortunately, the closest one to me is in Orlando which I had said in my previous post.

I had pizza last Tuesday because of working the election polls, there is one Italian restaurant about half a mile from my house that has pizza and instead of tomato sauce they use actual spaghetti sauce as the pizza sauce, it's not bad but a different flavor though

I prefers cooking my Pizza Cannibale myself in the old way with real ingredients and not with this horrible tomatos and paste industrial

Oh yes, there is one pizza experiment I have tried. Have you tried pizza without any sauce? It's actually not bad.
And there is one more experiment I've done... Has anyone tried the alfredo pizza they have at Olive Garden?

I had a pizza that had goat cheese and veggies on it, it wasn't terrible just needed more flavor, it was flat bread pizza instead of the traditional crust, also i have tried pizza at a French eating place and it was messy it needed to be eaten with fork but if memory serves me correctly it wasn't bad either

I recently had a meat-eaters pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and extra BACON! It was the best pizza I had tasted in a long time!
