New Oreos this week, and "honey wheat".

I tried ordering online at Popeyes, and of course as always with online stuff I messed that up. The person who worked there said she didn't have time to investigate so I'll just have to do it again the next time I go to that town and ask for someone at the library to help. The person who sent me the email explaining what to do said there was no evidence I even tried to order.
New Oreos will be gone.
I couldn't find anything on sale that I needed, so to get points I bought stuff I didn't need. Eventually I will drink all that Sprite (wish it was Pepsi but that's not on sale and Coke has either caffeine or is diet). On top of that I didn't get my points and had to ask for them, and I was told corporate has to make sure I get them. So when I go to a store in the chain I will have to make sure I get all my points.
The restaurant where I walk to get chicken salad sandwiches was closed. At least if things work out next week, I can go to the one I drive to but used to walk to.

Nope, enough Oreos that I can finish next week.
Two loaves of the brand but not the type of bread left. I opened one and I'm almost finished with the kind that I don't want.
Tomorrow is the last day I can get points, and of course nothing I wanted was on sale. I'll have to be creative, adding to all the stuff I will eventually eat or use. And no coupons even if what I wanted to get was on sale.

I don't think I bought food to get the rest of my points. I needed dryer sheets and I found a store brand toilet cleaner that is cheaper than the regular store brand. And I bought a second bottle of cleaning vinegar.
Still no bread of the type I want on sale but Pepperidge Farm is on sale for a higher price. No mold so far and I have one loaf left of the bread I want to eat. The bread I didn't want tastes good and so far no significant problems caused by it.
I'm almost out of candy canes but they are frustrating to get the wrapping off of. And crumbs get all over.

No more Oreos. I will start on the next of I think five packages, seven if you count the store brand.
Only one candy cane left, plus the ones still in the refrigerator which taste better than the brand I've been eating.
I started on both the last honey wheat bread and the last loaf of the brand if not the type I like.

I got my Popeyes lunch with the coupon, nut there was a cost. When I complained about having to add slaw for $3 because just a sandwich was one penny short, they gave me more points I could redeem. Which means I'm not through yet. But I'm going to wait and go somewhere else next time. Edit: I don't know why I thought I was finished, but part of the order was paying, and I know I never got that far last time.
I don't know what happened to that other candy cane. But I'm having less difficulty with coughing or feeling like I will.
There is mold on the last loaf of bread that is the brand but not the type of bread I want. It's not too bad so far and I get just about all of each slice. I forgot to check to see if the bread was on sale and I was in the car with the coupons.
I spilled a can of soup that I filled with water so it would be easier to clean. I should not have tried to move a bag until I needed to use it for trash, which would happen on Saturday. Still, I'm almost through emptying bags in the kitchen that will be used for trash. Recycling goes in new bags.
I counted 14 boxes of Cheez-Its. Assuming I finish a box a week, that's three months.

More Cheez-Its that weren't part of the count.
I don't know why I continue to get these Oreos. The latest package tastes like metal. I don't know if something happened to it, or if it is old, or if that's how it's supposed to taste.
A mouse got a third of the Chips Ahoy in one package. And part of a second third. Any cookies left in that part of the package I have to assume the mouse came in contact with. The third group looks fine. I'm eating them.
One box of Premium crackers. I haven't seen them on sale and they taste like cardboard anyway. If I can't have the store brand I don't want them. And none of the stores have the store brand of whole grain square crackers.

Even more Cheez-Its!
Nothing I wanted to eat was on sale the first time I shopped. I got another package of Oreos. All but two of the ones I have are chocolate. I have lemon and golden. I did get Tide because I might run out of All.
Apple juice was on sale, which I know only because of an ad that said the cheaper store brand was being sold again. Not in my stores. But the regular store brand was.
Individually wrapped cheese was on sale the second day, but I forgot to refrigerate it. However, I've seen it out on display outside of where it is refrigerated, so it should be all right. I'll eat it first. That will take a month. Peanut butter was on sale too.
I'm ready to open a new loaf of bread which isn't the kind I want. I finished the brand I want which wasn't the type I wanted. Mold on every slice but I got to eat almost all of each slice.

I ate too much yesterday at the church. Each table or group of tables represented a month and most people sat at the table for the month when they were born. The person who decorated my table gave us peppermint candies and I took some home, but I wish I had taken more. They make good cough drops and I'm almost out of candy canes.
I just couldn't eat any dessert. Normally my appetite comes back, but any dessert I chose would have required work to get a small enough piece.
On the subject of cough drops, I found some I had lost. The mouse did not get to them even though evidence of the mouse was all around. They were sugar free.

These peppermint candies are too soft to make good cough drops, but they sure taste good.
I kept seeing something bounce which may have been the mouse. I definitely saw where the mouse had been. I have only two sleeves of square crackers (one of which has a hole) and can't find any store brand crackers, or even Nabisco on sale. But the Nabisco taste like cardboard.
No bread on sale. I still haven't used my coupons. At least I was able to eat someplace else besides Popeyes but they gave it to me to go and when I sat down to eat, I dropped it on the ground. Hopefully that won't be a problem. At home I wash it off if I drop food on the ground. And technically, I could have done that in this park where children were playing in the water.
I bought cabbage so no more slaw from a container for a while.

Slaw container is gone now. Oreos have one more week and I open a new one.
I hope I find bread later this week.

I forgot that even though I got all my points, I needed bread. Now I'll be out Sunday. I did use just one slice of bread for a sandwich yesterday with lunch. And I'll do that Sunday. I used to get biscuits but they cost too much.
Yes, yesterday's lunch. Funeral.
But turkey burgers were on sale where I get points. How could I pass that up?
I think I finally ran out of round crackers that weren't whole grain. I also used a head of cabbage to make slaw today for the first time in weeks.

I stopped by a grocery store yesterday after running out of bread. Another reason for going yesterday. I just got the store brand because nothing was on sale.
I did not go to the grocery store where I get points so I might have missed a sale on bread, but I hope not. Today would have been the last day for sales.
No problem with turkey burgers, and I made the slaw.
New Oreos next week.
Evidence in a box of round crackers. Also, I heard a noise that might have been the mouse near where I store my new cookies and crackers. Hopefully there are no problems.

My bread was not on sale but I got another kind which was. I also saw store brand whole wheat is $1.99. I can't pass that up, because even buy one get one free for my other bread is $2.64.

I missed out on sales on both my bread and cheese! I saw the advertising section. I had all the points I needed and didn't go to the store, and then my next opportunity to go there was not until the sale was over. Had I passed a store where I get points I would have stopped but all I saw was a Publix.
Birthday cake Oreos are nothing special.
Turned my turkey burgers too high and nearly burned them.

I have two more loaves of store brand bread, and one loaf of a brand name left. I got two more loaves of another brand on sale.
Since I'll be in the mountains I will miss out on one day of a sale, but I do get to go to a store where I have bought gas and can take advantage of a sale if there is one.

I forgot to say to go here.
No pancakes. The restaurant was closed just this week. Where I used to go opens for lunch. Hardee's had French toast. A muffin this morning. Restroom had a combination. Could have been worse. I stopped at Hardee's for lunch and a sign said customers only but no enforcement. I didn't see anything I wanted. Arby's had this really loud music playing, worse in the restroom.
Whopper Jr. was the only 2 for $5 deal I could get. I'll try again an a few minutes.

I have four loaves of bread. I didn't stop on the way home because I didn't feel good and needed to get home as soon as I could.
No deal on fish sandwiches, so I bought a chicken salad sandwich at the grocery store nearby. Those are really good and big enough for two meals. But I ate no whole grain bread since I didn't like the restaurant's sandwiches last year. This has good and bad consequences. The bad is that what I least wanted to happen was delayed until I least wanted it to happen.
The place where I get pancakes DID have pancakes. I don't know why I never thought of this. And my motel room had a microwave. But syrup.

Two more loaves of bread, the kind I want, and two more when I go shopping next week. Those have to be the priority because the others will develop mold.
I got two milks as well. The older of the two milks I had started drinking before I went to the mountains and it was like cottage cheese, but I really did try to finish.
A new box of fish sticks was sure hard to open. It's the last one from Mrs. Paul's and the others are Gorton.
I had three packages of cheese crackers that came home instead of being eaten. I just didn't feel like eating them.

I missed one loaf of bread so I have five, and that doesn't include the ones that are the type I want or the ones I plan to buy tomorrow.
And the ones I want will be the priority because those will get moldy.
I almost burned my turkey burgers this morning and they were a real pain to get out of the package.
I have to remember to buy hot dog and hamburger buns tomorrow. I haven't gone to the store where I normally get them in many weeks. I could have gone to another store last week but it took time to go by Circle K.

No, my bread wasn't on sale. That's for the best. I have to use the two loaves I already have and only then can I use the other four. Or is it still five?
I bought my hot dog and hamburger buns. Also milk just in case what I already had doesn't last. I forgot Mr. Clean but remembered when I checked something else, and remembered I had two coupons. I won't get points at the store where I was, but I already missed out on my last chance at that store to use the coupon before it expires.
Also, the store didn't have the version that kills germs but I can use that in the bathroom I don't use. CVS did, but I found that out later, and their bottles were more expensive.
Turkey burgers were on sale.

It's nine loaves of bread. The "artisanal" will come first. Then the kind I like. Then the ones that are the store brand. Oh, there might be some that aren't, but aren't "artisanal".
I was looking forward to opening a new box of cheese crackers. The store brands taste better than Cheez-Its.
Oh, wait! I did remember I wanted to buy them, but I knew it would take a long time to eat them so I was going to wait until I was out. and when I was out, I didn't go to the store that had them. The next time I did, I just forgot because I wasn't in the habit of going to that aisle in that specific store.

Eight loaves of bread. One more "artisanal". I didn't have enough milk to last until yesterday, so it's good I bought some where it was more expensive last week. I got milk and cheese was on sale so I got four packages, two regular and two white. I don't think they taste different but cheese is expected to be orange.
I got the store brand cheese crackers. Both kinds. They'll last a while but one box will be brand new when I open it. More buns too.
I went to the hospital rather than take a chance on whether my usual restaurant would have chicken salad. The hospital chicken salad isn't nearly as good and while I can get half a sandwich, that's not as good as a whole sandwich. But I'm not paying the higher price. the girl was new and didn't understand what I was asking for. The woman I was used to dealing with was there and the girl asked and finally, the woman figured it out.
I'm about out of paper towels that are Bounty quality but choose a size. I had so much to do early this week that I didn't stop.

The cheese crackers tasted so good.
I had the worst time getting the turkey burgers open. I left them out to thaw and that made it possible. I used the last of another group which was easy to get out of the package but wanted to be ready next week. And no problems with that one.
If I remember I'm redeeming my Popeyes points later in the week and with cheese on sale, if I can remember to stop where I get points on the way home, I will get slaw so I can have that when I don't have slaw with my Popeyes sandwich. I also need the Bounty Essentials for the roll I have yet to replace, but for the other roll I had to use the extra roll I got at the store where I get points, which is square but not Bounty quality.

I bought more cheese crackers at Dollar Tree (don't know how these taste but they are cheap) but no paper towels. I was told they were coming the next day, but I wasn't. When I ran out of the towels on one roll I used the paper towels from the store where I get points instead of the ones from the drug store which are expensive but Bounty quality, even if they are choose a size. But the ones from Dollar Tree are for the other roll and I still have some of the towels from Dollar Tree left.
I found a sleeve of crackers half empty with evidence. I ate the rest of the crackers except those close to the end.
I did redeem my Popeyes points but they didn't make it easy. I couldn't figure out how to advance to the next step and I needed help from the person at the library. I got to one point and was told I had to order more. No, that's not happening again. Somehow the person at the library figured out what to do, and when my total was over $5 when it was supposed to be zero, she figured out what I had done wrong. I almost had to start over. And because I told them what time, I ran out of time to figure out how to use the deal I got for Take 5 Oil Change.

No problems with turkey burgers except for getting them separated.
I found the mouse had gotten into the bread I like. So I need to eat the rest of one loaf now. The slices it got to can be cut so I don't eat the parts the mouse was actually in contact with.

|
|
Post by KyleEl on Jul 26, 2024 17:34:12 GMT -5
Uh-oh. I took the other loaf out of the bag and the mouse got to it too. But I can eat the rest of each slice with no problem. Still five loaves left to go. I reported that this happened and mentioned the inner wrapper was not used.
This isn't about food but I also had to report that the detergent had a smell. It was the lowest priced detergent since it was on sale but if it's for sensitive skin it shouldn't have a smell. The whole kitchen smelled, and so did everything I washed.
I finished a head of cabbage and when I did, I used mayonnaise bottles that I filled with water. That didn't help much since I poured too much watery mayonnaise onto the plate. I couldn't use it, so it just got thrown out. I bought slaw in a container when I went to Popeyes so I could have something green to eat.
I ran out of towels on the other roll and haven't had time to go Dollar Tree. All I have to put on the holder are towels for the store where I get points.

Almost burned by turkey burgers. I don't know why I didn't put more water in them.
I can't finish milk on Saturday any more for a while. Waiting resulted in something like cottage cheese. In a few weeks maybe I'll finish on Saturday without waiting.

Another incident with milk turning into something disgusting, and the latest jug is starting to taste bad. Now bad taste doesn't mean anything, as long as it stays liquid.
Four more loaves of the bread I want! They were on sale at two different stores, and at one I got it so I could use the coupons. Still haven't heard from the company since I complained about the lack of a second inside wrapper and the mouse. But the bread doesn't taste that good. There are other benefits.
To finish the other bread, I suppose I'll have to avoid buying hamburger buns, which are actually more expensive than the bread I got when I couldn't find anything else. The buns I already got have to be finished first.

Two more loaves of the bread I want! But when I called the 800 number, they said they didn't get anything from me, and without the details about the loaf I was complaining about, they couldn't send me a coupon. Well, that's not my fault. I told them I sent everything and now the package was gone. I sent another complaint about not being given anything, but nothing. If I call again, I think they're going to have to admit there's a problem with their system and they'll need to do something.
No chicken salad at the hospital but they had tuna. I knew I wouldn't have any chicken salad because the worst day was going to be Thursday and I wasn't going that day.
No whole grain Premium crackers but Club Crackers were on sale, and so were Ritz.
