Help with sharing files

I've noticed that a lot of ppl here are posting music via youtube which is ok. But how would i share the music i have in my collection on my comp? I use Windows Media.
Youtube may have just about everything, but it is overused and i feel that the artists themselves don't get as much credit as they deserve when we choose to share it that way.

I'm a quick study so any/all help would be appreciated.

I think you can use 4shared.com because it has a way for you to add music and share it with others!
