I'm a member of two similar sites with different philosophies. There was a disagreement some years back and two groups were formed. Some people like me are in both groups. But off topic discussions are strongly discouraged in the one group. The other group is friendlier.

Technically, wouldn't you have to first have a topic to be 'off-topic?' I'm guessing this is meant to be more like the 'Random thread' we had at the CWL. Either way, more than welcome here! We've stamped your thread 'official.'

Maybe someone should start a topic and then no one is allowed to talk about that subject in this place again. Then the subject of the next post is no longer to be talked about ... until we are out of topics.
I think the first topic should be the benefits of eating kumquats. I mean, what else would you do with them? Sorry, as tempting as it would be to comment on that .... don't you dare!

Have you noticed no one hardly ever uses joysticks anymore in their game playing anymore?

I'd tell you all that I AM on vicodin right now to kill the pain from a bout of shingles but that would be on topic, so I won't.

Well I'm outing myself on these boards as a Glee fan. I have watched faithfully for three seasons. But tonight I think was the last straw for me with the show. The finale really pissed me off.
The reason I am such a Glee fan is Chris Colfer the wonderful actor who plays Kurt. I think he is amazing and oh I could listen to him sing Defying Gravity all damned day long. Such a voice he has. Anyway tonight they wroteit so that he wasn't getting into the school in New York that he auditioned for and totally nailed. What really makes me so mad I could spit is that they wrote it so the spotlight hog of the show Rachel/Lea Michele got into the school.
I was so mad when it ended that I wasn't ever going to watch Glee again. But then I calmed down and decided to watch the season premiere and see if they fix it for Kurt. If they don't I'm done.
I HATE season finale time. Bones was not good, NCIS:Los Angeles has me so worried I can't wait for September and tonight it was Glee that pissed me off. The only "good" finale was Criminal Minds and that was ONLY because there was no one in jeopardy this year!!
It's enough to make a fan quit watching TV at all I don't mind admitting that I enjoy "Glee" as well. "Fan" may be too generous. There have been episodes I didn't enjoy at all. And others I liked a lot. I feel bad for Kurt. I can't say I always support him but there is something special about him. As for "Defying Gravity", I'm not familiar with the song but the name makes me think of that TV series about the astronauts. Especially the hot Christina Cox. I felt bad for Rachel before but we get to see Lea Michele's talent even more if Rachel isn't happy. And sometimes we're just not going to be happy if we're getting a more satisfying artistic experience. I've always like Rachel so much. Not only is she pretty but she has that bubbly personality and that uppity quality that can be annoying to those who don't like it. For the most part I can't stand Sue but even she can do things I like from time to time. She's just so cruel. Brittany is so cute the way she seems so dumb. I've read that Heather Morris ad-libs so many of those dumb lines. She is a genius.

I saw your response on The Vent thread and it took me a moment or two realize there was an Off Topic Thread. Wow I have some really bad blonde moments
I'm not as angry about Glee now that I have had a few days to think about it. I still do not like what was done to Kurt but I remain hopeful that they will fix it in September.
All I'm going to say about Rachel is to each their own. I can't stand her and I really liked what they did in the finale with Rachel and Finn. I'm sure it will add drama to the show in the new season and frankly if it is someone other than Kurt who is unhappy that would be nice. He has had a rough couple of years.
I like Sue better now that she isn't so mean. Jane Lynch who plays her is a favorite actress of mine. She can be so funny.
Heather Morris is a genius. Brittany is the main laughs for me on Glee. Still can't believe the character had a 0.0 GPA. Oh well at least brittany will be there for another season!!
One last thing- Defying Gravity is from the musical Wicked. Rachel and Kurt had the first "Diva-Off" the first season with that song. It is one of my favorites that Chris Colfer got to sing. I listen to it often on youtube

I got up feeling so much better today, compared to the last several.
Of course, once it got hot and once it had been a couple of hours since I ate or drank, I wasn't feeling so good.
Oh, now I can put it on the vent thread.

I have been sleeping better lately. Although Saturday night I don't remember being asleep before 2, and I remember waking up sometime between 3 and 4 and also at 5:30, after which time I don't remember sleeping again. I sure made up for it last night.

It has finally cooled off a lot in the last few days, it is now 58 and it is comfortably cool outside. It is so comfortable i don't have any fans or air condition going at this time.

I haven't tried the site where I was banned anywhere else, but yesterday one library where I couldn't access it had it again. Last week only, trying to go to the site gave me the message that I was banned and why.
I haven't checked to see if I still get that message at the college library or at home.

I just realized that I can't log onto my Family Guy online account on my desktop computer yet my laptop seems to take forever to load and I can only play it on my friend's laptop, strange!

I'm a member of two similar sites with different philosophies. There was a disagreement some years back and two groups were formed. Some people like me are in both groups. But off topic discussions are strongly discouraged in the one group. The other group is friendlier. Weird. Today I went to that group which is the original, and friendlier, and someone wants to start a third group. Now, as promised, a joke for Watchtower. A devout Christian named Joseph lived near a river. A cop came by in a bus and told him he needed to evacuate because the river was flooding. Joseph said, "I'm fine. God will provide." As the water rose, Joseph went up on the second floor. A man came by in a boat. He said, "Come on. I'll save you!" Joseph said, "I'm fine. God will provide." The water rose still higher and Joseph had to climb up on his roof. A helicopter showed up. The pilot sent down a rope ladder and yelled, "Climb up!" Joseph yelled, "I'm fine. God will provide." Joseph died and went to Heaven. There he asked God, "Why didn't you save me?" God said, "I sent you a bus, a boat and a helicopter. You wanted an engraved invitation?" Just to make sure you get the point, Watchtower knows what kind of transportation she needs. Joseph represents her family.
