For each of the following word pairs, you are looking for two word answer, the first is a rhyme of the first word and gives the category. The second word is a rhyme and is a specific word in that category. For example, "Kitty, Tennis" translates to "City, Venice".
1. Varmint, Packet 2. Duller, Fellow 3. Speaker, Spiky 4. Funny, Scholar 5. Petal, Shopper 6. Foxer, Bison 7. Fetal, Bingo

I would have gone Grow/Row for the last one, but as 'lay' does seem to have a rowing connection you can have it. I got lucky with that one. Lay- To move or turn a sailing vessel into a certain position or direction.

I would've though that would just be 'steer'. Clearly I'm not up on my rowing lingo.

I have been thinking about #1380 and it is probably one of those teasers where the significant clue is eluding me. So far, I have thought of "sequence" as in "first, second, last" or "cliche".

"I_ _ b_ _ ei_ B_ _ l _ _ _ r!" Okay, I fixed it. Sorry, baby, but I need some emphasis on the spaces because the "ei_" is stumping me. Are the spaces I_ _.. b_ _.. ei_ .. B_ _ l _ _ _ r!

"I_ _ b_ _ ei_ B_ _ l _ _ _ r!" Okay, I fixed it. Ich bin ein Berliner FYI, this forum doesn't let you put more than a single space between characters (you can put them in, but it will automatically remove them when you post). If you want to put more you need to change [___] to [ ___] by coloring it 'beige'. Something I've come across several times while putting up puzzles.

The sentence "The boxing champion faced many challengers, but he ______ all down" can be completed with a word in computer jargon -- modem (mowed 'em). Try using computer words to finish the rest of the sentences.
NOTE: In many cases the answers may be two actual words that, when combined, sound like one computer word as per the above example mowed 'em becomes modem.

Start with the word 'FETED', and then each time, change a letter to make a new word. You need to continue this process until you reach the word 'MINOR'.
You must do this in five (5) turns.
Good luck.
FETED _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
MINOR

Below is a (very) short story with 10 capitalized words or phrases which are anagrams of words that all fit in a certain category. Can you find the anagrams and determine the category?
A group of ARMY friends were IN A DEN, sitting on a chair covered with RICH SATIN and playing cards. While one was REDEALING a hand, another was telling a MEAN LIE about how he was in his ONLY CAR, which had two HEATERS, and was hit on THE ANKLE by A LEANING book that he had put there, even though his wife took the BLAME.
