The teaser regarding the holes: Is it blood? I am thinking it's blood flowing through the valves of the heart.

"What's the password?" asked The Voice, with a weasel-like demeanor. Agent X was confused, until he realized he had received a strange postcard weeks before. The crafty spy still needed to enter the underground cellar leading to a new set of gadgets to be used on the next mission, but he was halted by The Voice's presence. What the postcard said might help Agent X find the password The Voice needs to allow the spy into the secret lair. The postcard says this: A relative of mine was expelled. It was my niece. Wouldn't you agree? It was because she joined a band of bikers. She's doing lots of things wrong. She always shows a lot of toughness.
P.S. Isaac Newton: Near orange bags lying east. Gets as strange equally slowly. |
What is the password? Explain.

You guys (and gals) are so good at this. And I suck so badly at it. If we ever create something like this board's version of The Manhatten Project we're drafting all of you!

The one with the holes I am a needle and thread Needles don't have 3-4 holes. Guess again. Would you believe I was in a moving vehicle and steering the car with my knees when I replied to this via mobile? I hope you don't believe the steering part, but I was in a moving vehicle. I should have been more specific and said a needle and thread sewing on a button. That's probably wrong also. If no one answers this one, the one with the green fuzzy thing with four legs or the one with "surrounded by death" by tomorrow morning I think I deserve to know because three generations of my family pondered these over dinner and we are stumped!

OK. My daughter suggested this response.
"One day, Alex found himself trapped in a room with 2 doors. Beyond the first door was a room made of thick glass that would magnify the Sun's heat to fry whoever went in. Behind the second door was a fire breathing dragon that would do the same. How did Alex escape unscathed?"
Open both doors and wait for the Sun's heat to fry the dragon. Then exit through the door the dragon was behind. Are we close?

Nope, not a needle and/or button.
Hints:
The hole you go in, is not the same as the three you come out of & the 'you' is literal.
Don't over think the green fuzzy one, while true, it's almost more of a joke.

No. I think you could assume if the dragon got fried, so would you. You only need to open one door.

Hmmm, let me think. 1) Alex was a friend to the Dragon and knew it would not hurt him so he opened that door.
2) Brave Alex was a dragon slayer. He opened the door and slayed the Dragon
3) Alex teleported through a skylight

Let me think, you open up the door for the dragon and use it's firebreathing breath to burn down the walls in the opposite door?

What kinds of lights save lives? would this be red-lights? that way they would know to stop and slow down their speed while driving? Lighthouses? They alert ships that a coast is coming. Heartlight..... because love makes the world go 'round. Flashlights.... so you can see in the dark and not fall down.

Here's a word game while you guys contemplate the other riddles : A spoonerism is a pair of words that can have their initial sounds switched to form new words. The pairs need only sound the same, not necessarily be spelled the same (power saw & sour paw, horse cart & coarse heart). There may sometimes be one or two connecting words (kick the stone & stick the cone, king of the rats & ring of the cats). Given the following definitions, what are the spoonerisms? 1) overweight dam builder & symptom of a sick flying mammal 2) bottom of the ocean & an insect-bitten dog has this 3) a cooking utensil & a nosy admirer 4) the person in charge of clocks and watches & the result of exposing silent actors to the sun

No. There should be an answer for each part of the riddle.
The example answer of 'king of the rats' & 'ring of the cats' could have had the clue: "Rodent royalty" & "a group of felines", In the answer the beginning sounds of the first part "King of Rats" are switched for the second answer "Ring Of Cats", in this case the 'ka' & 'r' sounds.
