Closer. But the inverse of "Bed of the Sea" I think would give "Said of the Bee".
Hint: all the 'official' answers are two words, eg. Rat King / Cat Ring

Apparently I suck at explaining.
The first words of each part of the answer & the second words of each part of the answer needs to rhyme. Eg. Rat & Cat, King & Ring.
Sea & Flea are correct, but bed & collar are not. So the answer would be: Sea Fl____ & Flea S____

These have gotten a lot harder. So says the guy that posted this brain teaser. How about this one? Each of the following clues describes two words. One of the words is a type of fruit. The other word is that fruit with one of the following changes: a letter added anywhere (apple applet), a letter deleted anywhere (orange range), or a letter changed anywhere (cheery cherry). There is no rearrangement of the other letters. No fruit is used more than once. 1) This is a devilish fruit. 2) This is a crippled fruit. 3) This is a happy fruit. 4) This is a criminal fruit. 5) This is a large fruit. 6) This is a tardy fruit. 7) This is a sullen fruit. 8) This is an up-to-date fruit. 9) This is a handkerchief worn by a fruit. 10) This is a popular dance among fruit. 11) This is a complaint by a fruit. 12) This is a weapon used by a fruit. OR _________________________________________________ Translate each word group into a phonetic sound, and then string them all together to form the name of a body of water. For example: polar or grizzly, finger jewelry, not curved Translation... Bear, Ring, Straight Answer... Bering Strait 1. Vehicle, curved bone, to exist, not yang, to look at 2. Circle segment, bloodsucking arachnid, to be in debt, tibia 3. Cat sound, dreidel letter, 18-hole sport 4. Unaffiliated film, Japanese currency, interjection, to eschew 5. Helper, flightless South American bird, clock sound, programming language

Yeah, but I cheated & looked up the answer, so I can't answer it. Don't think I would have gotten it anyway.

I can't think of a synonym for handkerchief. Thesaurus is your friend I think it's supposed to be Pear Spear (instead of the reverse) but the rest & the Water Body ones look good.

That is correct Sorry about the homonym / homophone confusion. I copied that riddle from elsewhere and didn't notice they used the wrong word.

I like word puzzles and have been attempting this one ever since you posted it. Today, my brain said to try a variation, and voila! I forgive you, but I am going over to the 'Ban the person' thread so I can ban you. Are you going to post any more? I am not ignoring the ones with numbers in them. My brain does not compute numerical puzzles. That is all.

There are still some non-number-y puzzles on the previous page to solve, but here's some new ones anyway: ______________________________________________________ From the beginning of eternity To the end of time and space To the beginning of every end And the end of every place. What am I? ______________________________________________________ Which ones don't belong & why? Eg. Lily - Jane - Tulip - Rose Jane does not belong as it's the only one which is not a flower Tulip also does not belong because it's the only one which is not a girl's name 1. Dodge - Ford - Lincoln - Hoover 2. King - Earl - Knight - Bishop 3. Yellow - Green - Dead - Black ______________________________________________________ There is a word in the English language whose first two letters indicate a male, whose first three letters indicate a female, whose first four letters are a great man, and the whole word is a great woman. What is the word? ______________________________________________________ We're all nuts .. can you name us? 1. Big country in South America. 2. A pod is my pad. 3. This came down in Germany. 4. Confection ingredient. 5. Sneaking a look-on. 6. Gorillas show dominance by beating this. 7. May be found in the company of a witch.
