So much cool stuff in from Comic-Con to catch up on: panels on True Blood, Breaking Bad, and Dexter. Godzilla makes a surprise appearance at Comic-Con, The Man of Steel footage is shown, as well as footage from Ant-Man. We'll have more for you on all these and others tomorrow.

quick interview with Misha Collins, Mark Sheppherd and Jim Beaver....."Will Crowley be back much this season?" "Crowley is what happens when you don't pay attention." I saw that. They were funny. And so was the guy who interviewed them. Could he have been any more Takei? reason for edit: term used in an intolerant mannerCould he have been any more SWEET?

Timmy! I have watched only 2 minutes and 11 seconds, and my heart is pounding. This is frightening. But I love it!

Can't wait for the new season of The Walking Dead. That 4-minute trailer was awesome, Timmy. Here's the Man of Steel poster unveiled at Comic-Con: Can't say as I like the texture, or the S, and I don't care for the lack of the red trunks, but hey, it's Superman, and I'm sure I'll still have chills running down my back when I see it.

Robert Downey Jr. wore the Iron Man hand at the panel discussion for Iron Man 3: And here's the Fringe, season 5 promo trailer unveiled at Comic-Con, which I'm not allowing myself to watch, as I'm still behind on season 4 episodes: John Noble says there's a good chance of a Fringe movie after the series ends next season. There's a live blog of the Fringe panel as well here: insidetv.ew.com/2012/07/15/fringe-at-comic-con-were-live-blogging-it/

Joss Whedon's 'Dr. Horrible' Coming to the CW tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=743142&affid=100055"Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog," the web series he created during the 2007-2008 writer's strike, will air on the CW at an undisclosed time, Whedon revealed this at Comic-Con on Friday. This is the first time the show will appear on TV. Whedon said he has been thinking about a "Dr. Horrible 2" but did not say whether that would appear on TV. The original series starred Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day. Whedon wrote it with his brothers Zack and Jed, as well as Jed's wife, Maurissa Tancharoen. He also directed it.

If this happens it's going to be a pretty big deal. As far as I know, no web-only show has made the jump from webisodes to commercial TV. This could be a real game-changer. There are several web-only shows that I think are better than a lot of prime-time commercial TV offerings. Felicia Day's "The Guild" is one.
I'm sure that Joss Whedon's newly enhanced status as director of The Avengers, which raked in over a billion dollars helps.
I watched every episode of Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long long ago and loved it.
My big question is why the CW? The CW is a struggling network with miniscule ratings. They need it worse than him. And he already has a relationship with The Science Channel, who seem eager to be in business with him. I can think of other networks as well, where it would be a better fit.
The only thing I can think of is the fact that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a huge hit on The WB, who insanely cancelled it. Then, the show made broadcasting history when it was picked up by UPN, where it continued. Both of those networks, of course, later fused to become The CW.

Very acceptable alternative, SoCal. Here's why we use 'Takei' in instances where 'gay' is used in a derogatory manner: We want The Evicted to be an open and inviting atmosphere for folks of any sexual orientation. . And in case anyone doesn't know who George Takei is:

*scratching head*
Still trying to figure out why "Could he have been any gayer?" is derogatory?

I think we recognize that particular 'gift' from Total Recall, which like many great movies is being remade, largely because Hollywood has no new ideas.
But they do have a marketing team.
