Another bar fight!? Is Mal looking for trouble? I love the theme song though! I always have the theme stuck in my head hours after the show is over! ![]() Yep, and we're going back to Persephone, where Badger, the guy who wanted that stolen medicine he hired Mal to get, lies, to boot. You're just like every other Firefly fan about the theme. I find it rolling around my head quite a bit. No, it's just one of my favorites. But I love them all. |

I love Kaylee at the party and looks like a beginning to a fight...
Oh, and I assume Badger lied about that deal? I'm not sure what's going on about the deal.

Don't they all lie... I mean they're technically bad guys, right? And, Kaylee does look pretty. They are a combination. Some are a mixture of bad guy and good guy. Jayne probably tips a little more towards bad guy, the captain I'd say is 50/50. Others, like Shepard Book and Kaylee are mostly good. But all of them have chosen to be with this group, so, if you're judging them by their company . . . Mal certainly fits the definition of the literary device known as the antihero, much as Angel, another Joss Whedon character from Buffy does. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antihero |

Okay, what captain doesn't know how to use a sword? And where is Kaylee, I only saw her with Badger's men... but I like that Mal seems to be protecting Inara's honor.

No, don't hold up for me. It's better if you let the story unwind as it should. I've seen this one before. But the writing is so good I still laugh dozens of times in each episode.
River's got a super brain underneath it all, and she can easily replicate Badger's accent.

Aw, I loved that Kaylee got to keep the dress! You know, Kaylee is starting to be one of my favorite characters as well! And I like Inara's loyalty to The Serenity... and someone's got to keep Kaylee out of trouble... And their cargo is cattle? Anyways, another great episode! |

Yes, the cows are a big laugh, aren't they? Kaylee is probably my favorite character. She's just so sweet and good. I love how she took over the party discussing engine specs. And did you notice how she'd decorated the door to her cabin? If I ever met a girl like Kaylee I'd be a goner. And that's saying a lot, because I usually like bad girls. Another great episode, and again I find myself asking, who was the idiot at Fox who couldn't see how good this show was? I certainly hope he's out of the business now. I love how you can't predict which way something is going to go on Firefly, like the whole Badger sequence onboard the ship. |

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing... it was only six months ago that I hadn't even heard of this show and now I love it!
And yes, I did notice her door. She does seem like this perky, good-natured type of girl, I really do like her.
That's what keeps this show interesting, you can't predict what's gonna happen next!

I burst out laughing when I saw the cattle on the ship. That was unexpected. Kaylee was not at all pretentious when she was at the party. She showed her awe and enthusiasm and wound up surrounded by men. Go Kaylee! Personally though, I thought that dress was too much dress. I prefer tight and slinky.  I can tell the non-Supernatural viewers. We would have been very excited to see Mark A. Shepherd who is our favorite demon (Crowley). He is the man who welched on the first deal and then suggested the deal in this episode. He also played a lawyer on Battlestar Gallactica. I am glad they did not try to make the crew squeaky clean because that would have been unrealistic. I like the addition of the monk, the doctor and River. |

Oh yeah, I didn't even realize, he WAS the lawyer on BSG. Three really memorable roles (I don't watch SPN, but I'll take your word on it). I'm going to have to do some research on that actor. So, you are more like Zoe, Anti. A slinky warrior at heart. ![]() I just love Zoe and Wash's relationship--they are such opposites, and so perfect together. Just wait till you guys see the episode where Mal first finds the ship Serenity and meets Kaylee. It's one of my favorites. |

MisterMoonlight, I must say you have a good feel for which details to give and which ones to omit.  I was wondering why Mal and others kept interjecting Chinese into their dialogue. Then I read your comments that explained the reason. Did you realize that early on? I was puzzled by it so that is one puzzle solved. Thank you. I enjoy Wash (I guess one day we will know why he is called 'Wash' unless his name is Washington  )and his Warrior Woman. She is both sexy and tough. Maybe I should use her as an avatar. One of the most flattering comments ever made to me was that I was a mini Wonder Woman. I guess I am not tall enough to be the real deal. I might not be able to wait for the next synchro-watch, but I am willing to re-watch the episodes. |
