When you play an artist as much as I played Linda Ronstadt in my radio days, very often you get burned out, and it can take a long time to be get to the point where you can listen to them with fresh ears again (I don't know if I'll ever get to that point with Stairway to Heaven.)
Anyway, finally, after all these years I'm beginning to appreciate her again. And what a babe she was.

I mostly like the standards she did with Nelson Riddle in the 1980s and later. I already liked that style of music, but she made it relevant to young people because she was still one of them.

There was a wonderful movie that came out in 1978 called FM that projected a lot of how it was to actually work in radio in those days. It features live concert clips by several artists, including Linda Ronstadt. In this one Jeff Dugan's Q-Sky Radio in Los Angeles steals the thunder of his biggest radio competitor by broadcasting live the Linda Ronstadt concert that the competitor sponsored.
Linda does the Stones "Tumbling Dice" as well as Warren Zevon's "Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me," and yes, that is Waddy Wachtel you see on guitar.

OMG! My dad introduced me to her music and I remember hearing sing this song from the movie "Fievel"
she is a good singer and I love her stuff most of it anyway!
She even sang back up for Paul Simon!
