I loved that! I also loved when Nathan showed up, the joy that Jewel expressed was so sweet! Heck, I loved every video I saw so far! I can really see the love that they all have for each other, like a family...

Hell, we all are. Along with every red, green, or blue-blooded Browncoat in the 'verse. Check out video #3 "The Love" here to see how the cast responds to a tearful fan in the audience. science.discovery.com/tv-shows/firefly/videos/exclusive-nycc-2012.htmUPDATE: I just noticed after watching the video for the second time, that after Jewel kisses and hugs the girl, she whispers what looks like "I love you" to her. That is sweet. Nathan is funny though when he hugged the MC.

I've watched my set of "Firefly" dvd's so many times that I think they're starting to melt.
"I mean to misbehave!"

I am watching Browncoats Unite right now, and nothing in the 'verse can stop me. Except maybe that destroy-all-the-electricity thing from NBC's Revolution.

16 minutes into it and I've got tears in my eyes already as Jewel talks about how much Kaylee loves her 'big brother' Captain Mal, and would do anything for him.
It's the connection between all of these characters that make them feel like family to us. Maybe you can fake that. I don't know. All I know is that every time I see the cast and crew of Firefly together, I see the same love we saw in the characters themselves, and it was a special enough experience for the actors and cast members that they understand exactly why fans love this show. Because they do, too.

Joss Whedon simply needs his own entire TV network. I would love a new Firefly like show, and even a possible sequel to Buffy and Angel.

I agree a thousand percent. We've heard that ABC has greenlit a S.H.I.E.L.D. series that Whedon will oversee. But he needs his own frakkin' network.
I loved Dollhouse, too. He keeps running into idiots like the folks at Fox, who cancelled both that show and Firefly.
Yet we've seen him innovate and create a web-only show like Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long that was tremendously successful. Between that and the clout he's got now as director of movie that made over 3 billion dollars, the time to strike is now.
Joss has alway said Firefly was his favorite show and his favorite cast, ever. While the actors are still young enough to do the roles, and all alive, why not go back to that joy project that refuses to die?
What would you pay to see a new episode of Firefly? I'd pay as much as I could afford--20 bucks, 50 bucks, a hundred if I had it.
Between Kickstarter and the internet, there's no reason why gifted creators like Joss can't sidestep the networks and movie studios and offer their content online to fans. I predict within 5 years many people like him will be doing this.

I was hoping that somehow, Firelfly would be resurrected either as a cable show or become a successful movie series. Sadly, after 10 years of the show being off the air, I've finally had to admit it's not gonna happen. Dammit. Great show, great characters, great writing. That doesn't happen enough that we can afford to lose creativity like that. Dammit.
