I heard today on a news network that 450,000 e-mail accounts were compromised on Yahoo due to being hacked. You can find out if your e-mail password was leaked by going to labs.sucuri.net/?yahooleak and entering your e-mail address. The site will say whether or not your address is on the list. reason for edit: to make web link clickable

I only use my yahoo Zirrack account for on line sites that will not let you see their pages unless they have your e-mail. My yahoo account is not my main e-mail or the one that I use for my family or friends.

I clicked on the link and I'm fine. It's a good thing because I use that password for almost everything, with slight modifications. There is a new password I was sent by another site I go to which actually resembles a word, so I've increasingly switched over to that one.

I sure am glad that you posted this David. I didn't get around to checking my email addresses till today, and sure enough, one of mine was included in the leak.
I made a Yahoo account about a year ago for some reason, but then never used it.

Glad it did some good. I always get spammed with messages supposedly from Fforde. I should check his account.
Nope. His account is with Hotmail.

I had to change my Hotmail password because someone was sending spam from my account. Most of it went to me because I have numerous email addresses. Fortunately, other than me, only Raisin from the WB and CW sites was in my address book.
They blocked me but admitted I probably wasn't the one doing it, telling me I should change my password.

I change my password twice a month, and everyone I truly care about is NOT in my address book...therefore, when the spambots hit, my loved ones won't be sent those shitty links that contain a virus.
Also, I have AOL. Yahoo and hotmail suck ass.

I'm not happy with AOL. It just happens that the computers where I use it have sound, so you KNOW what's going to happen .... I like the pop-ups for composing. Excite has that too. But what I don't like is how if you go somewhere else, those just disappear. Excite doesn't do that, but I am left with a notepad. Now Yahoo and Hotmail started out okay--they were my first email addresses--but both have problems. They're still the addresses I use most. But mainly to send stuff to myself.

I have been hacked on my yahoo account before. I just changed the password and the problem was resolved. :)I checked my e-mail and they missed me this time. Nothing interesting in there anyway.
