I'm extremely nervous about this season. So, far with each spoiler, I'm getting less and less excited and more and more disappointed and sad. So, I'm giving a fair warning to anyone who wants to take a look. (Don't let my negativity bring you down!!) Enjoy!

7) This one has me the most worried. It basically sounds like Sam is being chop up as a self-centered jerk who doesn't care about Dean. For me, it was the worst spoilers I have ever read for this show and kind of makes me seriously reconsider watching the show this season. As a Sam fan, I feel like I've been slapped in the face and my favorite character has been thrown under a moving bus. Honestly, I don't know what to think about these spoilers. I'm going to warn anyone right now, the comments in the comment section are alright at this moment, but that could change. Elsewhere, I know that Sam is being called names, so like all spoilers be careful where you go. This is where I think these comments are based on.

All in all, I'm very disappointed with how this season sounds. I don't think I ever like the spoilers that come out of Comic Con. I guess it's a tradition for me!! But I really hate that it sounds like Sam is getting thrown under the bus to repeat the sixth season and I hate how it sounds like the brothers are going to be at odds with Dean keeping secrets. So, more drama between Sam and Dean? Yuck. There is a one year time jump. Sam didn't save Dean and got a dog. Dean is indebted to a monster. And Bobby is going to become Kenny again. Castiel is in flashbacks. None of it really sounds like the brothers are going to be kicking ass (I guess on the offense could mean that, but with all the potential drama bombs like Sam quitting looking for Dean and hunting for Dean and Dean keeping secrets, I don't know if that is how it is going to come out looking like). It does not sound like second and third seasons of the show. It sounds like they have redone the worst part of the fourth season and adding them to the sixth season.

I think I'm just really upset, because it really really sounds like Sam is going to be yet again a crappy brother while Dean has to do everything himself. I think I need a hug. Anyone have any positive or negative thoughts?

I think I'm with you, lemongrover. I have never been more disappointed by spoilers in my life. It seems as if once again the character of Sam will be twisted and changed to suit whatever purpose the story needs.

Well, before I put a gun in my mouth, I will at least wait to see what season 8 looks like when it starts on October 3.

I'll be darned if a few lousy spoilers will keep me from watching Dean and Sam. At least for the beginning.

SoCal, I agree I will wait and see how the season starts out before I make a decision to quit.
I have always thought that who ever is in charge of creating the teases, promos, spoilers and interviews does a really poor job and about 95% of the time what we see on screen is very different than what we were told about.
I'm willing to stick it out for a while.

NovChld -- if season 7 couldn't push me away completely, then these season 8 spoilers certainly won't! Jensen and Jared both seemed excited about the upcoming season. I hope their exceitement is warrented.

It's okay. I understand and I am completely with you. This has been the worst set of spoilers I think I have seen.

Novemberschild, I agree that most spoilers don't match what's on screen, but it's difficult to believe that Jared and Edlund would be this blunt about Sam not looking for Dean that it's going to across much better. The damage has already been done. Promotion is a key part of television shows. I wish they would get better PR or just be like Misha and Jim and not say anything.

I'm not sure if I'm going to watch in the Fall. I'll probably feel differently and maybe they'll be some spoilers that make this better or something. But after a not so great sixth season and a horrible seventh season and now, these spoilers I'm not sure if I'll stick around. Most likely I'll watch the first few episodes and if they tear the brothers apart or make it seem like Sam doesn't give a damn about Dean, then I'm out. I can't do anymore drama crap. It wasn't believable in the sixth and seventh season, it isn't going to be believable now. Especially, since I'm suppose to believe that the smartest monsters couldn't get out of Purgatory, but Dean and some random monster could? And I'm suppose to believe that Sam would just quit looking for Dean because he had no help??

I haven't read through all of the Comic-Con articles, but have read quite a few.

However, I just read one that was just with Jared and it mentioned a 1 year time jump. I was shocked by that. I sort of had the feeling that they were going to make it longer than the 4 months Dean was gone in Hell, but I wasn't expecting a year. I know that might sound funny since they did a year in Season 6, but still. Now I understand the spoilers I've read that mentioned Dean's going to be a bit upset/pissed at Sam when they first re-unite.

Unless I've read it wrong, I don't think Sam's getting a dog. Instead, he ends up meeting this Amelia because he almost runs down a dog.

Even though it somewhat saddens me that Sam's seemingly going to move on, I'm not really angry about that. Sure, I want him to figure out a way to get Dean out, but in the mean time, he needs to live a life and not have fear and anger and grief consume him like it did in Season 4.

Dean did the same thing in Season 6. He looked for a way to get Sam out, but he also moved on and tried to forge a new life.

So I ask, why can't Sam do the same thing? Why should Dean be the only one who can do that? Is it because Sam and Dean didn't have a heart-to-heart with Dean giving his blessing for Sam to move on like Sam gave to Dean in Swan Song?

Why can't Sam do that? Well.....he's going to. Jared says that Sam is "moving on." That everyone he was close to as a hunter is gone and he's leaving the hunting life.

I didn't miss that. Jared did say that. It has nothing to do with anything Dean did or did not say to Sam.

I guess I just don't get why people appear to be getting mad at Sam for seemingly moving on when Dean did the same thing.

LemonGrover, I appreciate your posting all of these links. They take the work out of hunting down articles to keep track of what people are talking about. I hope you decide to watch the pilot and other episodes. You can always come here and complain loudly and often.

One of the things Supernatural keeps waffling on is Sam's desire for a normal life. In the beginning of season 1, Sam clearly preferred a normal life. In the following seasons, Sam denied that he wanted to go back to a normal life and in S5, Sam said the apple pie, family life "sucked ass" and he did not want it. Now the information from the panel is that Sam always wanted a normal life. They waffle back and forth on that point.

Apparently Dean is upset at Sam because there is an implied understanding that no matter what happens, they search for each other. I am not mad at Sam. We know he loves his brother and would rescue him if he could.

The main thing that I am happy about is that they are going to show stuff that happened in Purgatory. Even though they use flashbacks, it will be better than never seeing what took place in Hell.

Lemongrover, I want to first say, I have really enjoyed reading your comments in some of the threads,. I wish I could be that eloquent.
I have a different take on the whole "Sam doesn't look for Dean" story. I am wondering if the reason that Sam doesn't look for Dean is not because he is self centered (that's not Sam) but because at this point he has given absolutely everything he can to hunting and trying to save his brother at various times.
I wonder at this point if he is just so exhausted emotionally and mentally that he just feels like he can't keep going on as he has, and with everyone else gone, and he knows Crowley won''t help him, that he just needs to pick up the pieces and try and move forward as best he can.

Sam is not conceited nor self centered, he is the heart of the brothers as far as I am concerned. I hated the Soulless Sam storyline because that wasn't Sam to me.
I like Sam and Dean and of course Cas, but it is the brothers relationship that is the heart of the show, and so far everyone involved with the show seems more excited for S8 than they did for S7, so I am willing to give it a chance.
