I think David Lynch would love the "Roy or Bison" reference to Roy Orbison, and thank god someone has made a thread about him.
Roy is one of my musical heros, and the clip you posted from Lynch's classic Blue Velvet is one of the reasons for the resurgence of his popularity in the 80s. It's just one of the many brilliant scenes in this haunting, scary, wonderful and surreal movie.
The next video is from the amazing Black and White Night concert. That's Elvis's guitarist James Burton and Bruce Springsteen on the solo with Roy, and look at the dozens of famous folks up on stage with him. And every one of them couldn't believe how lucky they were to be there that night, and how they were humbled at the honor of being on stage with him.
Here's a quick look at Roy's career. As a fan I'm so lucky I was around during his life.

There's no such thing as too much Roy Orbison. Only not enough, as the lonely will tell you, in dreams.
Who wants a piece of candy?

And from the Bizarro World, here's Roy Orbison's appearance on The Dukes of Hazzard. And yes, that's none other than John Schneider, Jonathan Kent from Smallville you see in the audience.
I think he could've gotten lucky with Daisy that night. What do you think?
