In other words, in their world, the comic books are about real people, not fictional characters.
I think I recall The Blur inspired a comic book in the Smallville universe.
In the movie "Zoom", Captain Zoom and The Zenith Team also inspired a comic book.

I don't think I know what you mean... In our world, the superheros are fictional. But wasn't there a "Blur" comic book on "Smallville"? In fact, in the finale Chloe was reading from a book about The Blur.

Let me put it this way. In "Zoom", Marsha was kind of a nerd and not happy with her life, but the Zoom comic books made her feel better. she was obsessed. That sounds like a lot of the people on the CW Smallville board.
The difference is that she was able to meet Captain Zoom in person, though by this time he had lost his powers.
She was like a little girl, or like a true fanboy at Comic-Con.

Okay, but what do you mean by real superheroes? Do you mean the real life heroes like firefighters, police officers, and the military? Do you mean everyday people like you and me who risk their lives to try to save others?

Do you mean everyday people like you and me who risk their lives to try to save others? No, the people with super powers. Like I said, in the movie "Zoom", the fan was able to meet the subject of the comic book, while there are no people with super powers in our world. And I think The Blur got his own comic book in the Smallville universe.

In the movie Buckaroo Banzai and His Adventures Across the 8th Dimension not only was Buckaroo a rock star, a physicist, a surgeon, and a crime-fighter, but he and his band, the hard-rocking Hong Kong Cavaliers had a comic book about them in publication as well. There's a scene of someone reading one in the movie.
Strangely (and sadly) enough, even though a sequel to the Buckaroo Banzai movie was never made, happily, many comic books in the real world have been published about his continuing adventures.
