We're on Mars, Folks! You GO, NASA!!!

The rover Curiosity touched down on Mars today, in a mission that scientists say went flawlessly.

As someone who saw man's first steps on the moon back in 1969, I can't say how happy it makes me to see us exploring the cosmos again. We have always been adventurers and explorers, and I'm excited to see what we may discover in this mission.

I was at JPL when Voyager reached Saturn waaaaaay back in the 1980s.

This was definitly 10x the excitement!!

Wouldn't you have loved to have been in that room and a part of that team?

I'm so damn proud to see it.

Having been born with an interest in science and the stars, I can't help but think of the man who inspired me and so many others in the journeys we have seen and celebrated. And, as they say in Star Trek, may those continue.
