30 days from now we will select the 10 funniest crazy rules from our Crazy Membership Rules thread in a poll. The following week will narrow it down to the funniest five. Then the top three.

The top crazy rule will actually be inserted into our Official Rules and Guidelines.

That's right, you can contribute to the bewilderment of new members by being your funniest. So get to it.

It was tough to narrow it down to ten, but here are my selections: 6, 20, 37, 41, 48, 73, 89, 126, 140, and 153. (SoCal, please note that I omitted the # sign.)

• 6. Your first post must be the absolute truth, then you may lie with impunity.
  
  
• 20. Anyone who posts library stories will be beaten to death with a shovel.
  
  
• 37. All member birthdays will be entered as 1/1/1999 to cut down on individual 'happy birthday' threads every week.

• 41. At the summer and winter solstices all posters are required to synchronize watches for the midnight salute to our fearless leader.....whoever that might be, since immediately following the salute, the leader is sacrificed on a pyre.
  
• 48. New Member Rules. All new members, before posting for the first time must find our New Member Welcome Mistress AerynRocks1's last post and reply to it in these exact words 'Hey Mister Tally man, tally me banana.'

The next round of voting will be a lot easier, because after we get it narrowed down to the top ten, the remainder of the contest will be in poll form.
