Thank you so much. I just found out that a third of my Baton Rouge radio friends has died. Your song reminds me of him. I was lucky enough to live in the time of giants who were larger than life. He was one. He had inherited a sugar cane plantation and drove a limited edition Trans Am. In the waning days of AM radio he worked at WLCS-AM, a station where the studio was located at the transmitter site in the backwoods north of Baton Rouge. Each night he would come to the studio, lay his pistol on the control board and begin his show. This song is for him--Gordon West. I will always miss you, my friend.  |

I think that we all know it...whether we have known them or not.
I am very sorry for the loss of your friend.
His voice will always live on in the ether... as his signal will continue to travel into the cosmos.

For my other two friends in radio now gone, Duffy Spears and my brother Chris Jamison (a friend since I was 18 years old) I should play songs for them, because that's who we were and what we did--and I miss them every day.
