I don't know exactly what is going on in TV these days except to say it's some kind of a new Golden Age, when there is so much great stuff out there, including the commercials. Here's one that gave me tears. Watch closely the first few scenes, and realize that you're going back in time:

Like most of us, I had never heard of Sister Rosetta Tharpe. That is, until a couple a months ago when I first saw this promo for the documentary of her life. I was absolutely blown away. Here is the woman who was the Godmother of rock and roll. She influenced both Chuck Berry and Elvis. Her music stands up just as strong today as it ever did.

I'll be honest. Being a DC Comics fan mainly, I had no experience whatsoever with Marvel Comics Guardians of the Galaxy, but I kinda love this promo for the upcoming film: I gotta admit, a raccoon with a machine gun is something I've never seen before.  |

This has been floating around my office this morning…. Auntie Fee is off the hook! My family and I have spent the past hour watching her cooking videos. I think my favorite is the one you posted "Sweet treats". My daughter loved and freaked out over the chicken with paprika. Too funny. I also watched the clip for Jimmy Kimmel's show and they bleeped most of her "sweet treats" clip. ![]() |
