I remember meeting a few people that said it was a conspiracy. Someone once had me convinced that Buzz Aldrin was the first man on the moon at one point. It's sad to see an American Hero go.

You know, the only people who think that we didn't go to the moon during the multitude of missions from Apollo 11 on, are the same ones who think the world is only 10,000 years old and that dinosaurs were on Noah's ark. Right?
They are the very same folks who think that there is no such thing as climate change, that if there was, it's God's judgement upon us for accepting equal status for race relations and sexual choices. Probably gender equality, too.
In other words, plain and simple: folks who don't know know a damned thing about science, and who don't really care. Their beliefs are more important to them than than any thing else, even proven and verified facts,
Facts are dangerous because they contradict what someone has told them to believe.

That's a load of bullshit, my friend. Your alloted time on the soapbox has officially expired.

Following that fallacy you would have to believe that the recent landing of the Mars rover is also a conspiracy. If none of what we learned before actually happened we'd have no idea how to get to Mars.
And by the way, is Voyager a false, too?
Have we ever actually achieved escape velocity from Earth?
Is Yuri Gugarin a fake, along with with the many missions launched with other humans and animals? Just exactly where does truth end and fiction begin?
What about Telstar, and the communications satellites, are those all conspiracies as well?
Gallup polls show that only 6% of Americans believe the moon landings were faked. That means 94% of the public believes otherwise.
It's ridiculous that it's even a question.
