I've got my VCR (yes, I still use a VCR) to record the show since I can't stay up that late, as I get up at around 4:45 am to get ready for work. But it makes for a good Tuesday afternoon/evening as I watch the show then. Looking forward to episode 3.

4:30 is still nighttime. I plan to watch it when it airs and maybe watch it a second time. I hope they don't kill off Pellegrino.
In the first post of this thread, I added a collage with the characters' names because it will take awhile to remember all of them. Might have to click the image to read the names clearly. I will copy the collage to each new episode thread and add new characters, if they add any.

Yeah, getting to know ALL the characters names is tough in the beginning. I miscalled Grace as Clara. Oops.
That's where Supernatural has it over Revolution. Dean and Sam. Two names easily remembered.
But I'm sure as the season progresses, I will get the names right.

I haven't watched episode 3 yet. Hope to when I get home from work today. Looking forward to seeing our little buddy Lucifer. Wonder how many episodes he's going to be in. Probably not many.

I'm looking forward to watching and enjoying the show tonight. Pellegrino is so cool. Twitter said there is a shout-out to Stephen King, so let's see if we catch that.

Okay, I caught the Stephen King reference. If no one mentions it, it will be included in trivia later on. I enjoyed this episode. It showed how serious the separation between the rebels and the militia is. There are still a lot of unanswered questions like what activated the pendant when no one was near it?

I was too busy yesterday to watch the episode. Hope to get to it in the next couple of days so we can dish about it.
And I just read in the paper that NBC has decided to "pick it up." I guess that means we'll get a full season. That's great. Nothing worse than seeing a couple of episodes of a new show, finding out its rating are low and it gets cancelled 1 week later.
Yay!!

Thanks for the info that it will be picked up. I did not say too much about the episode because I know we do not all watch at the same time.

I started watching it as I washed my hair. Haven't finished it yet, but I see Mark is a bad guy.....again. O well, he plays bad good!
Looks like Grace either got captured or killed. Still wondering why in 15 years she hadn't had a better hiding place for her computer.
Finally watched the rest of episode 3. So Miles was the head of the Monroe militia. Looks like Sebastian was a wuss and Miles was the badass....wonder what happened to make Miles leave? Neat how they show how Pelligrino (didn't catch his character's name) was first introduced to him.
So what made the pendant turn on? Looking forward to next week's episode. I hope we find out what happened to Grace.....and who Randall is....

SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 3 (if you have not seen the episode)
Erik Kripke and the cast talk about the perils of perception and best intentions in this week's episode.
This is an excellent recap.

No kidding. That was excellent. I hope they do that for every episode. Just finished episode 3 and I caught 2 Stephen King references--the term 'shawshank' and the fake names they came up with, Stu Redman and Franny both straight out of The Stand. Add that to Randall Flagg last week, and I'm wondering if we're gonna get a King homage every week. When you think about it, there are a lot of similarities to this show and The Stand. Just a different way of getting to the post-apocalypse, a super-flu rather than the power grid.

Okay, that does it! I'm gonna try to find that Stephen King novel, The Stand, next time I get to go to the library! Yeah, I didn't get either of the Stephen King references. But episode 3 was fantastic!

Just a different way of getting to the post-apocalypse, a super-flu rather than the power grid. I hope they do more recaps, too. I subscribed to the show on YouTube so they should let me know. I recognized the name Stu Redman and wondered if it also was from the Stand. Is he the one the "good" people gravitated to? It has been a long time since I read it. I recently gave away my collection of books, and now I wish I had kept some for reference. Of course, I recognized the Shawshank reference. I am glad you and Watchtower are keeping up. Thanks for voting in the poll. I'll give my good friend Kripke a call to let him know we want some answers.

Yes, Stu was the leader of the 'good' group in The Stand.
"M-O-O-N, that spells moon." ---Tom Cullen, The Stand
Also, Grace's last name on Revolution is Beaumont. The main character in King's novel The Dark Half is named Hugh Beaumont.
It's a great book, Chloe, you'll love it. It's my favorite Stephen King novel.

Beaumont - another Stephen King reference. Thanks. I will pay attention to the names during the next episode.
