I saw an article in the Myrtle Beach newspaper that says part of this episode was filmed there.
The diner where Maggie died, and an abandoned amusement park. What made that place ideal was that it really IS an abandoned amusement park. The owners are trying to find investors to reopen it, but so far no luck.

So I found the episode online. I watched just enough to get a general idea. Wow, that place was run-down. Hopefully they had some help, but I'm thinking after this many years it really was that bad.
The diner looked good, though.
