Thanks, SoCal. Gods? I'm glad no one has "rated" the episode yet.

Thanks, SoCal. Gods? I'm glad no one has "rated" the episode yet. I had to re-listen to Jared's interview. I didn't quite get the god's reference completely, but it sounded like maybe the boys are compteting against some gods for possession of the new tablet. He said some like they had unlimited money. Well, you'll find out before I do, dammit!

Yep, I found out. Not going to say anything until I get up tomorrow, but I loved the dialogue in this episode.

Wow.....not the best episode. I found Dean's flashbacks to be strangely out of context with the rest of the episode. And Kevin's mom was just unrealistic. Thought the auction was silly. Hope they do better with next week's episode. I gave it a "3" and I was being nice.

I spent most of the time staring at Jared. He looked so HOT. That boy should always wear suits. Other than that, I didn't know what the hell I was watching. Oh yes...annoying Asian lady, horrible writing...and the Impala. I saw an actor named Jensen Ackles doing something. I think it's called acting. The scene with Ty, Jensen, and Misha was cringe-worthy. It was like G-rated gay porn. I was uncomfortable. I wouldn't have been surprised if the guys started whipping out their junk...Benny was like a jealous lover; he glared at Cas while Dean was pouring out his feelings. I felt dirty and wanted it to stop. Jared is amazingly sexy. What's the name of this show?

What did you think of the episode, Anti?

I must be one of Aeryn's "hardcore SPN fans who will rave about anything". I rated this episode a 5 because JC gave us what I have seen fans begging for at least two years, and I love him for that. - Dean hugging Castiel
- Dean saying to Castiel "I need you"
- Dean saying to Castiel "I will not leave here without you"
I also enjoyed the snark and quips. The dialogue attracted me to Supernatural more than the MOTW scenario. The abundance of snappy comments in this episode kept me entertained and appeals to my sense of humor. His name is Plutus. Dean *with a smirk* "Is that even a planet anymore? Sam looks at the Impala. Dean: Say it and I will kill you, your children, and your children's children. After getting slapped, Crowley: Defiling her corpse just made #1 on my to do list. Crowley: Listen to Moose, Squirrel. Benny referring to Castiel as "Hot Wings". When Castiel tells them to leave, Benny's "Sounds like a plan." Crowley bidding his own soul. Crowley asking Kevin who's your daddy and "scandalous!". The red demon smoke gets two thumbs up! Sam using the Thor hammer. If they had to lose the tablet, I like the supernatural aspect of what happened to it. We can't have them closing the gates of hell in the second episode. I am surprised at how hard-hearted Dean seems, but fans have criticized Dean for not speaking the truth about how he feels. Well... this is what the truth looks like. Be careful what you ask for. My questions: What happened to Crowley's soul? Demons have souls. How did Crowley take over a body inhabited by an angel? Is he now stronger than some angels like Dean's mentor was? Will we see Kevin again? Does anyone other than me like Benny? I want to make a Benny thread, but I might be the only fan.

Crowley: "Defiling her corpse just made #1 on my to do list." Yes, this line made me laugh. I almost forgot. And also... Dean: "Say it and I will kill you, your children, and your children's children."

This season I have seen some acting issues. This is a huge concern to me. All the other seasons the acting has been wonderful. The first episode it was the dog at the vet scene with Sam and his bitchy girlfriend. This episode it was Kevin's mom. For me her anger seemed forced and overall she wasn't believable in the role. I dig Kevin but there was a scene with that actor that seemed forced to me also. It was the scene where he wants Sam and Dean to take him home to see his mother. He got 'mad' and said he's been worried since the king of hell broke his girlfriend's neck. I didn't believe him in that scene. I don't like these acting issues. It takes me out of the moment when the emotions of the actors seem forced. If this goes on for the rest of this season I fear it will be the last for Supernatural. They have an interesting idea with the God Rock and closing the gates of hell forever and there are still some funny one liners. Which is why I rated this episode a three, but there is a disconnect between the story and the actors. I don't know if it's the directing, the writing or the acting. But something feels off this season and I'm disappointed by that. They need to tighten things up.

I love bad-ass Dean. I love the fact that he's brought something bad with him from Purgatory and it's giving him fits. I'm happy to see Crowley -- his snark is priceless. I hated Kevin's mom. She came across as completely unrealistic and unbelieveable. So I gave it a 3.....some parts were good but as a whole, no so much.

I like bad ass Dean too. If he was not tough, he would not have survived Purgatory. And most of the time Dean has to make the unpopular statements like going after Tiger Mommy is a trap for Kevin and that they needed to kill Crowley by any means necessary. Of course Kevin is upset that Dean would have killed his mother, but Dean did stop when he heard Kevin's voice. I liked Dean's slick pick-pocket move and his smooth exit when stealing the tablet would not work. I thought he was crazy enough to try to fight, but he was not that far gone. There were some more funny moments. When they counted $2000, gold cards and a Costco card against a billion dollars. Then Crowley's "Plan D for Dumb ass". Also Crowley called Ms. Chau "Mail order". Trading the Vatican, the moon, Alaska, part of a virgin- all of that was funny. Samandriel - is that a play on Sam's and Castiel's name? I see they are no longer concerned about saving the hosts of the demons. Exorcisms take too long and would not work in a stealth situation.

I gave it a 3, I thought some parts were OK, and others were really good. I felt this episode was uneven although that may be due to the fact that D &L wrote it, some of their writing is a little off. I didn't care for the actress who played Kevin's mom, I agree with Evil, her acting was off and it took away from the scene for me. I thought the auction was OK, but a little silly, although I loved the fact that Crowley called Sam -Samantha and calling them Moose and Squirrel.
I loved the Purgatory scenes, the look of Purgatory is great and I love the fact that Dean is single minded in his quest to find Cas. The whole scene between Cas and Dean was wonderful and we got a Hug! I loved Dean telling Cas he wasn't leaving him behind, Cas's eyes softened just a little at that, so very sweet.
Was anyone else reminded of S1 Shadow, when Meg first meets Dean and starts laying into him for the way he has treated Sam in the past? The way Benny kind of averted his eyes and didn't seem like he wanted to look at Cas, then started laying into Cas and giving him a hard time for leaving Dean reminded me of how Meg was yelling at Dean.
I sense a lot of manipulation being done by a lot of people this year. I haven't decided what I think is going on in the end scene, I will need to see more before I make a decision.

I will say what I enjoyed about the episode. I loved that Cas left Dean to protect him from the creatures that would attack an angel. I also enjoy Bad ass Dean and for me Crowley was the stand out of this episode is acting was spot on. I especially like his dramatically stating that he would offer his own soul. Interesting the Crowley is red smoke not black. Is that a king of hell thing? I also liked Samandriel and his Vessel Afie too funny. I hope Sam hung on to Thor's hammer that's a great weapon.

Thor's Hammer may be a great weapon but it would be a little hard to carry around, unlike the demon killing knife or a gun, for that matter. I suppose they could keep in the trunk of the car and pull it out in emergencies, but it wouldn't come in handy most of the time.
I wonder where Kevin took his soulless mom? Was she soulless? Did the god take her soul? I'm not clear on that.
The red smoke thing was cool. Wonder if the boys know what that means?
Still only give it a 3.

They never completed the deal so I don't think Kevin's mom is soulless. Remember what Raphael's vessel looked like after Raphael left. My take on things is Crowley is the King of Hell so he's super powerful now and he extracted information from her mind (Mind Rape) so I think Crowley being in her made her that way.
