Season 2 has given us some of the things we begged for in the first season. Now Nick, Monroe and Hank can work as a team instead of having to hide the truth. I enjoy their rapport and look forward to them working on more cases together.
In the first episode of season 2, my favorite scene has to be when Hank asked Monroe to change into his Blutbad face. Hank's reaction made me laugh so hard I had to pause the episode.
Captain Renard remains an enigma. I cannot tell what his endgame is, and I wonder if Mother Grimm and Renard have ever met. Renard's efforts to awaken Juliette might backfire on everyone as the two of them focus more and more on each other. Do not break Nick's heart!

JULIETTE WANTED MONROE TO COME TO DINNER
VOICEOVERS: „I would like to invite your friend Monroe over for dinner" "Oh, uh..." "Think about this for one second. What would we possibly talk about?" "What's my favorite color?" "Gee, guys, how did you two meet?" "Let's grab a bru" "It all started it when I found out Monroe was a blutbad" "What did you say you are?" "Blued bott" "And that was right after I found out I was a Grimm" "What? Someone in your familly just died?" "My aunt's in a coma" "Ah, that explains it" "Name one aspect of our relationship that we wouldn't have to lie about" "You went there with Nick? I thought you went there with Hank" "I did" "And with you too?" "Yes/No" "You're right. All the time we've spent together..." "Really?" "All the sneaking around..." "Do I need something like a silver bullet?" "What are you, an idiot?" "I don't need you for what you know, I need your nose" "Oh, I get it. So little Timmy's stuck in a well, you need Lassie to come find him?" "She's a really good cook, isn't she?" "Yeah, she's fantastic. Monroe, please stop thinking about food for a second" "You want some?" "Who's in it?" "Ok, look, the only way we do anything like this..." "Hi, Nick" "Hi, Monroe" "...is if we agree on a story.." "Well, we met when that little girl was kidnapped" "...we keep it simple, and then we stick to it" "You told him about the cabin?" "No, I told him about the boots" "Simple story, stick to it" "Without the boots, there would be no cabin" "The best lies are sort of the truth"

Grimm is still on my top 10 list of shows. I am glad I have someone in RL to chat with about this wonderful show. The characters have developed into more interesting and stronger versions of themselves when compared to the first season.
The witch birthed a baby that is so strong that it could cast illusions while still in its mother's womb. The Blutbad royal factions want to possess the royal baby because of its power. Captain Renard is most likely the father and will fight to keep the baby in his possession. Mother Grimm believes the Grimms should protect the baby but that is complicated by the history between the witch, Rosalee and Nick. They want to kill each other.
They are building up to a climax that will pit these strong characters against each other because each of them wants control and they cannot all have it. I am waiting to see if they can possibly agree on what to do or if it will come down to who is the strongest.
On a lighter note, Monroe wants Nick to be Best Man at his wedding and Nick has been having nightmares about his Grimm side killing the Blutbad guests. That did lead to them explaining how the Blutbads can tell that Nick is a Grimm.
