PHOTO STREAM “AN UNIQUE EPISODE OF SUPERNATURAL — Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a bizarre murder in a college town. Close on the tail of their suspect, they bust into an apartment to find two dead bodies and a laptop cued up to some disturbing video footage. The footage begins with Brian (guest star Leigh Parker), Mike (guest star Brandon W. Jones) and Kate (guest star Britni Sheridan) hearing about an unusual animal attack in their town and the rest of the story is revealed through their eyes. Sam and Dean become unknowing participants in a unique student film.
Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Robbie Thompson.”

Worst episode ever. I turned it off about 40 minutes in because the crappy shaky cam and the horrible teen acting gave me a headache.
-_- What a waste of an episode.

Hmm. *long pause* Not quite sure how I felt about this one. I didn't hate it, but if I hadn't occasionally seen Sam and Dean I wouldn't have known it was an episode of Supernatural. And that offness seems to be an evolving (worrisome) trend this season, doesn't it? I appreciate that they wanted to do something new and different with the werewolf mythology, but I was bit lost with the whole pure blood vs. fourth generation thing. Guess I'll have to rewatch that part, if I can muster the desire to do so. Perhaps it was telling that all day, I could NOT recall the promo for this week's episode, and it was only after they started watching the video on the laptop that I remembered it.
Can't believe the next episode is the first one I've been excited about this season in anticipation.

I wondered if I hated it because I am not a fan of that type of movie. Teens running through the woods at night with a camera was not scary and certainly was not interesting. I guess Sam and Dean got a lot of rest in this episode. One of my concerns is that Supernatural will lose some of the additional fans they picked up. If I was a new viewer and saw tonight's episode, I would not watch another episode.

I had to work tonight, so I didn't see the episode, but from the looks of it I didn't miss anything. I was thinking about buying it tomorrow on itunes, so I decided to check it out and see what everyone was saying. I don't think I'll buy it. I'll see if I can watch it tomorrow on the CWTV website after class. I'm glad I decided to check out what people were saying before I brought it, because if it's so bad people had to turn it off, then I would be pissed if I spent money on it. From what I'm hearing, they let the monster go? I've heard speculation that it's probably foreshadowing Benny being a good monster since this episode had a good monster? Which sucks because they have spent the last two season insisting that a monster is a monster. They killed Lenore, the Phoenix, and Amy. And it's wrong for Castiel and Sam to work with a monster/demon, but the second Dean gets a monster friend, he's a good monster. WTF? I have a feeling I'm not going to walk away from this episode with the best feeling. Please tell it's not true that they let a monster go and the vibe is this is the season of good monsters.

lemongrover The episode is so darn uninteresting, letting the monster go didn't even matter to me. By that time, I was mentally tuned out and just didn't care. I was surprised that both Sam and Dean agreed to it. They are not usually in agreement on that issue.

Oddly enough they had an episode called jump the shark. But they didn't actually jump it until this utterly piece of crap. It shows how dedicated a fan I'm because I watched the entire horrible thing. Last time I saw something this bad was a movie called Ratboy. I gave it a zero and now I have to update my list of worst Supernatural episodes because that tops the list. Bring back Sera.

While I didn't like the episode, I think I know why Dean went along with letting the monster go......because he's in cahoots with Benny. Please let next week's episode be better than the crummy stuff they've been churning out so far. Jeremy......are you just Sera Gamble in pants?

The most interesting thing I saw during the episode was the commercial for "Vampire Diaries," a show I normally avoid like the plague. A girl (I assume female vampire) sees a man and calls him a "hunter." Is this a shout out to Supernatural? I may have to watch and see. If it is a hunter, I hope he slaughters the silly, goth vampires on that silly show.

I don't like Vampire Diaries, but I do like the goth look. In fact, I usually dress like a goth. It's cool.

The CW is playing mind games because on Supernatural, we are supposed to root for the hunters and on Vampire Diaries, we are supposed to hate the hunters.

I hold the line at over the top black eye makeup, black nail polish or tattooes. I once heard someone say, "I'll wear black until they come up with something darker."

I wear black nail polish, but I don't have a tattoo...yet. When I do get one, it will be a pentagram. My brother said he'll pay for it. But he wants me to get the triquetra symbol from Charmed.

The shaky camera footage was similar to the "Blair Witch Project" movie which was supposed to be based on the disappearance of 3 teens. But I do not want to watch that much shaky camera stuff. The werewolf lore was a shocker since Bobby never mentioned that little tidbit of information. One thing has not changed. They still love references to Dean's and Sam's sexual orientation. Brian: Look, look. Starskey and Hutch. Michael: Rizzoli and Isles. Michael: Is it just me or are you getting a workplace romance vibe from those two? Brian: They just sat and talked about how they've been apart for a year. You were probably right about that whole office romance thing. I knew vampires mated for life and now I know true love transcends being turned into a werewolf. (I thought all guys know you do not have your hot-chick girlfriend hang out at your place when you have a room mate. They need to watch MTV's "Guy Code" )

(Big sigh) I gave it a 1, only because I didn't want to give it a 0. I am not a fan of found footage, and I wasn't a fan of this episode, I wanted to see Dean and Sam, not the silly teenagers/college kids whatever they were. I did make myself watch the whole thing, but I won't be in any hurry to re watch it. I had no interest in the kids story, nor the kids themselves, it was boring to me. The only thing that was slightly funny was when Dean and Sam were eating and Dean had 2 burgers, that was the only thing I found ever so slightly funny. I also found it very odd that both Sam and Dean agreed on not killing a monster. Is it because Sam wants out and Dean is/has been working with a monster? I am ready for the next episode, I need something to take this one out of my mind

It's scary, NovChild, how I always seem to agree with everything you post. This posting is no different! Even down to the reason I, too, gave it a 1.

It's OK SoCal, I like most of your posts too . I like SPN like no other show, most shows I watch for a while and then get bored with and stop watching, but this one I know is capable of so much more and I am willing to give it a chance. I see comments on other sites where people are already to give up on this season, but I think it will get better as time goes on, and even if I don't like all the experiments they do with the episodes, I give them credit for trying something new. I even got my brother and daughter to watch the show. ;D

I am not about to give up, but they must feature Dean and Sam. I did see two people tweeted Jim Michaels that it was a great episode. They probably belong on that thread Aeryn created about some rabid fans who will put up with anything.
I am looking forward to the rest of the season.

Good one, ES. I love Jensen and Jared so much that I will watch the show to the end. I just hope things get better in future episodes.
