Hi all someone said being Supernatural is in it's eight season it's hard to come up with fresh ideas. So I thought what new myths or urban legends could be explored? My mom was born in Hawaii there is a whole world of Myths and legends as yet unexplored by Supernatural. The legend of Kihawahine who is a dragon goddess would be interesting. She kidnapped her Goddess sister's husband Puna, the chief of Oahu imprisoning him in a cave until he was able to escape and hide in a crater with the followers of Pele. A whole lot of other drama happened after that here is a link if you are interested. www.to-hawaii.com/legends/puna.php Pele is Goddess of the volcanoes. Papa is the Fertility goddess she would be an interesting goddess for the boys to hunt. The writers can toss a freaked out Dean on a plane to Hawaiian we can have a good time. ;D Picture Sam and Dean dressed for tropical island weather. ;D So what legends are myths do you know that would make an interesting episode?

Hey, what about exploring the myth of The Wichester House out here in CA? Not only a tie in to their names, but a story about the widow of Mr. Winchester, the man who made the rifle famous. She was supposedly told by a fortune teller to keep adding on to her house to keep the ghosts of the people killed by her husband's rifles at bay. So the house is filled with stairs that go nowhere, and lots of rooms. They say it's haunted. Bullshit, of course, but it keeps the tourists coming in.
There must be lots of legends about places in New Orleans. I don't think the show has ever gone there.
There's a house somewhere in the mid-west where someone (in either the late 1800's or very early 1900's) came in and killed everyone in the house with an ax....adults and children.
How about exploring the Amityville house?
It would be fun for them to explore the site where the Donnor party set up their camp.
My dad was from Massachusetts.....there have to be tons of stories connected to the occult there.
I'm sure there are lots and lots more.....

That's a great idea about the Winchester mystery house. I have been there a couple of times. I could see the boys getting trapped overnight in the house and have to vanquish the spirits of the people killed on the gun. Plus I love the idea of a New Orleans hunt. In the Pilot Dean said he was doing this hunt in New Orleans but that is the only hunt I remember in that area. They should hunt an old vampire named Lestat in New Orleans it could be an Anne Rice shout out. ;D
