We are currently in betazone testing with a ProBoards version 5 edition of our very own board.
ProBoards will automatically convert all forums to V5 sometime within the next 3 months. This is our opportunity to get all of our own unique bugs worked out before the conversion, and our goal is to be able to convert as soon as the option is given. Ideally we'd like to be able to do it in time to celebrate our one-year anniversary on Dec. 17th. However, a lot of this is up to ProBoards as to how soon they will allow it.
If you have any questions about improvements and new features, this is the place to ask them.

Spent some time over on the betazone V5 Evicted test board today, and here are a couple of features you're going to like.
Ever wanted to search through your PMs for one from a particular person, or by keyword? You can do it now in version 5!
Also, instead of being limited to solely YouTube, you'll be able, with the click of an icon, to automatically embed videos from the following sources:
College Humor Daily Motion Gametrailers.com Justin.tv Meta Cafe MySpace videos UStream Veoh Vimeo YouTube And any direct link to .wmv / .avi / .mpg / .mov
That's gonna be a lot of fun.

The search feature is awesome and super fast.
I like the option "Participated" in addition to "Bookmarking". I can bookmark less threads while still being able to find ones I posted in.
There are some nice formatting features and they added a "reason for edit" box.

I wish we could block videos.
One reason is that if a thread has a lot of videos on it, my Internet is so slow that more than likely I can read the posts themselves, but they might not come up. For a long time there are empty squares where the videos will go. It has been my experience that sometimes, even with fast Internet, what I actually want doesn't show up until last and it can be a long wait.

Ufortunately ProBoards says this will not be a feature in ProBoards V5, but they did say there is a feature called a 'flash-blocker' that you could use with your browser to try and keep videos from showing up.

We finally got dates from ProBoards for the conversion to V5 today! The official conversion date (where all accounts will be upgraded) is April 29, 2013. However, we will be able to make the conversion ourselves beginning January 28th, so it's coming up pretty soon, as we want to be firsties!

CONTESTEveryone can pitch in and add points to help us update to ProBoards v5 as soon as possible. For example, everyone who "likes" Proboards on Facebook adds points. See our current progress in the message below.Starting on January 28th, all forum admins can optionally choose to upgrade their forum to ProBoards v5. With our contest, you can upgrade to v5 even earlier -- as early as January 16th! How can you upgrade early? It's simple! We've put together a contest where you can earn points for your forum. Every 10 points you earn allows you to upgrade to ProBoards v5 one day earlier. Participating is simple and easy for everyone, and you can get your forum members involved to earn points. Get to 120 points and your forum can be upgraded on January 16th! Even better, the top 5 forums that have the most points will earn extra prizes. This Forum's Current Points: 30 (3 days early!) Below is a list of how you can earn points for your forum. Try to get 120 points so that you can get the earliest upgrade date possible! (10 points earned) Free Points: Every forum automatically receives 5 points for every year it has existed! (10 points earned) Like us on Facebook & enter your forum's URL: 10 points for the first person that enters your forum's URL, 2 points for each additional ( no limit on point earning!). (10 points earned) Try our new Forum Accounts page and enter your forum's URL at the bottom of the page: 10 points for the first user, 2 points for each additional user ( no limit on point earning!).
