Anti I haven't read any I those but I actually did see all of those except the first one at half priced books
I recently bought a book entitled the nameless It sounded good but also a little strange so I'm unsure I haven't started reading it yet as I've been using my spare time for writing mostly

The Rebel by J. R. Ward Matched by Ally Condie The Living by Matt de la Pena The Lost Saint by Bree Despain The Cartel by Ashley JaQuavis, Ashley Antoinette Coleman and JaQuavis Coleman. (I read this one after someone and I practiced "lending" books to each other from Nook. I will absolutely not be reading the sequels. )

My sister and I read books together the way we do but she didn't like that book and didn't want to read further into the series, I liked it but never did get the sequel so if you do anti just let me know if it's worth reading

I think if some humor had been injected into the story, it would not have seemed so tedious.

It's been a while now since I read it, over a year now I can not remember much of the dialogue and so forth but maybe the sequel would be better perhaps leaving more room for humor since the storyline is pretty well developed

Well I was actually researching something one of your posts brought to mind and that was when you mentioned how you had read a book that seemed like there was another story inserted in there and it reminded me of the book I read that did that the book was hearts in Atlantis the first part of the book about Ted and bobby I loved but as it went along the book didn't seem to connect I know some characters were the same throughout but none of the other stories grabbed me like that first one and five years later I still can't forget ted and when I researched to see more info about hearts in atlantis I discovered Ted is from the dark tower series so now I feel I must read it

I read Hearts in Atlantis and I know exactly what you mean about the book. I did not surf the internet at that time or I would have been able to investigate what the heck was King's point. I became very frustrated long before I finished the book. Thanks for the information that Ted was in the Dark Tower series because I do not remember much of it now.

I'm glad to hear that you felt the same I thought maybe it was just me but after doing a bit of research I did find that out and I feel obsessed with this dark tower series for that alone and since you've read it if you remember I'd like to ask if it is a good series?

While I was at the library today, I looked at the jacket of Hearts in Atlantis and it explained each story was separate but intertwined. I wish I had known that before I read it so I would have understood it better. I remember that the students wasting their lives by becoming addicted to gambling was very disturbing rather than entertaining.
I remember waiting for one of the sequels to the Dark Tower series and began to wonder if there would ever be an ending. I enjoyed what I read but I do not recall an ending to the tale.

Thank you for the insights on the dark tower series As for atlantis I too had no idea they were intertwined when I read them I only remember a character or two slipped from one part of the book to the other but I don't remember any connection but it's been so long since I've read it and sometimes I get so excited to finish a book I miss things along the way lol

I just started "Archie and Amiele." He was John Astor's great grandson and she came from and equally revered family. The author calls them "the Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald of the Gilded Age."
Really interesting to read about the Astors in the the 1790's. John Jacob Astor was a poor German who came to the U.S. and built a fortune starting with furs and musical instruments, eventually buying up a huge amount of land in old New York.
It seems there were a few people in the Astor line who had some mental issues. Not sure if Archie was one of them....haven't got that far, but the family always found a way to put a troublesome family member into a sanatorium.
Amiele was a writer from an early age and scandalized her family and contemporaries with her suggestive stories.
I'm anxious to see how these two came together. I don't think they had a happy ending. We'll see.
