I really enjoy Thanksgiving it give me a chance to bond with my mom as we are cooking together. It used to be that my parents and I would go to church on Thanksgiving Day. I still remember that one year we went to the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. and there was ancestors of George Washington and other famous people there reading scriptures and whatnot, I thought that was really cool. That is some of my favorite memories that I don't mind sharing.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!   I'm cooking today - watching old movies. Right now, the original "Pride and Prejudice" with Laurence Olivier. It makes me laugh out loud. Have fun and enjoy yourselves, for tomorrow it's back on the treadmill!!  |

Happy Thanksgiving my friends! You are family to me. In addition to everything else, later today I plan to watch the videotape my dad made of our family's Thanksgivings from the home movies he'd taken in the past. In one of the shots you can see my 12-year-old self grimacing as the movie camera inevitably came out at the Thanksgiving table and focused on me. He and so many of the people in those videos are gone now. I'm thankful he made them. I wish that in those days they'd had sound to go with the movies so I could hear their voices again. But, no matter, they live in my heart. Last night my friend Timmy said, in regards to this forum, "each voice is important," and he was right. We may be a ragtag group of misfits, but for better or for worse, we all belong to one another. And we're family. Each voice is a part of who we are. My advice for the day? Let folks know what they mean to you. Don't wait until it's too late. And pass the stuffing, please. |

I bet those are cute, I have a few pictures I took one year at Thanksgiving of my dad and stuff, it is a good photo of him smiling, my dad appointed me to the photographer for the day and I loved it!

Happy Thanksgiving, mi familia (My family (My Uncle is tutoring me in Spanish)).  But seriously, I consider you guys my family. I am proud to call you guys my family. Without you all, I am nothing, honestly, I would not be where I am today if it weren't for you guys. I love you guys and I am thankful for every single one of you, not only on Thanksgiving, but every single day. Today, my sister was with all of us, we all sat around the livingroom watching the football game, Detroit Lions vs. Texas... I don't know the team name. To be honest, I was rooting for the Lions, even after they defeated my home team, the Jags. |

I had my Thanksgiving early this year because my brother couldn't be here on Thanksgiving day.
I also went to see the new movie about Prez Lincoln, Good but violent so I would not take anyone under 13 years of age.
