Who is Naomi?

At my church we are having a series about Ruth, who is the great-grandmother of King David. Naomi was her mother-in-law, who after losing her own husband took care of her two widowed daughters-in-law. They were poor and had to depoend on the kindness of others, including the practice of gleaning, or picking up crops left over in the field after harvest.

Somehow I don't think this show's Naomi's parents were religious.
