I like the way they continue to incorporate fairy tales into the episodes - Captain Hook, Frankenstein's Monster, Giant of the Beanstalk and Red's wolf family. TallahasseeI had been wondering about Henry's biological father and we finally met him. He thought he was doing the right thing when he left Emma. I don't expect Emma to be thrilled if/when she learns the truth about his departure. I think the beanstalk story was pretty interesting. I guess the last giant was greedy, but not a vicious killer. As Kyle pointed out, Emma obviously needed eyeglasses and would not be able to get contact lenses in the other realm. I guess someone else will need to read the compass. I am sure we will see Hook again. I do not yet understand the dreams and why Princess can see through the portal in the dreams.
Child of the MoonWe learned that Red can control the wolf within herself. I think that might turn out to be a very important fact later on. I do not particularly like her "I did it, I killed him, I'm gonna turn myself in" hysterics.  The mob had torches.  What happened to flashlights? I did enjoy the episode, but I want Red to be less wimpy. It seems that with Mr. Gold's help, Henry might be the answer to breaching the portal. |

Her contacts were probably in when she went across, but caring for them would be problematic. She hasn't indicated she can't see. I think the writers just aren't thinking. |
