So Michonne is knocking on the prison door. Will they let her in? Will Rick shoot first and ask questions later? Will they find out about Maggie and Glenn's abduction by the very alive Merle? Will they try to breach the walls of Woodbury? I could go on and on, but let's wait until we see the episode.

Will Maggie whip Merle for hitting Glenn? Will Andrea you-know-what again? Did you see Michonne twist her face when she mentioned the Governor?

There ya go. Maggie VS Merle. He's a goner. By the way, the Rick telephone calls show up in the comic books. They're meant to show just how much Rick is suffering with the loss of Lori. He's basically losing it right now. You've seen those shots where Michonne seems to be talking to herself? Just wait till you see what that's about.

I actually bought 3 or 4 issues of The Walking Dead comics way back before the show ever debuted. But now I've got the whole first 100 of them to enjoy. And that'll give us something to talk about during the dreaded hiatus, which is much more scary than zombies, to most of us.

That will be interesting. I'm still shocked that a wonderful character like Darryl was not in the comics. Are any of the others absent in the comics? I am too curious now to wait. *stamps foot*
I am going to have dinner now. I tried - just once - to eat during an episode of TWD. Not a good idea.

Let's just say it has something to do with the two zombies she had carrying her stuff. The ones with no arms and whose jaws had been removed. There are clues in the episodes, should you care to search for them.

Ok, if you'll remember the dialogue in the show, someone mentions that she must have known these two walkers. You probably thought it was a throw-away, as I did. And that's all ya get. Oh, P.S. She's not talking to herself.

I will start the search tomorrow.
I rated this one a 5 because of the scare and gore factor. Michonne is tough in spite of the fact that she became dizzy after fighting walkers at the gate. She had been losing blood for miles. She definitely has issues and a total lack of gratitude. When she said she didn't ask for their help, I thought that was more attitude than common sense. She still needed help. Nice reunion scene with Carol. And a nice scene between Carl and Rick when they talked about naming the baby. Merle is one crazy man when he gets angry. The beating he gave Glenn plus siccing the walker on him was vicious. Merle wanted Glenn to experience how he felt fighting his way past the walkers. I think everyone has a good idea of what that was like without needing a personal experience. Merle was so angry he did not stop to think how Governor would feel about that. I keep expecting the Governor to punish Merle, but he hasn't yet. Glenn was impressive. He took the beating and was still able to defend himself against the walker. His weakness is Maggie and I thought he might give up the location to save her. He was more concerned for Maggie's safety than his own. Poor Maggie, I think she held out as long as she could. The Governor acted weird toward Maggie, but it was decent of him to leave them together so they could comfort each other. I don't know about that "Remember the Alamo", only because it sounded rather frivolous. I think Michonne did the safe, but morally wrong, thing in killing the hermit because he was going to get them all killed anyway. That was a gory mess.

Good episode, I gave it a 4. I liked how Carl was the one to start shooting walkers as Michonne when down. I don't hate him like I did last season. The initial contact between Michonne and Rick was a little off. First he's all concerned, then he's grabbing her leg where she was shot when she isn't forthcoming. Also, her saying, "I didn't ask for your help," just seemed stupid. Loved the reunion between Carol and the group. Glad to see she wasn't just written out. With so few women around, we need her. She's not irritating like Lori or Andrea and I like how Daryl has become attracted to her and now isn't ashamed of it. Loved the Rick/Carl conversation. Rick nearly went completely over the edge and it's good to see him more "normal" again. Although, that turnaround sure happened fast. So now we know what the "scientist" (can't remember his name) is trying to do. To see if walkers can remember any of their real life after they turn. I'm sure it's all Governor's idea.....to see if his dead daughter remembers him at all. The results aren't going to make him happy. Glenn has become really bad-ass. The way he took on Merle and survived the beating was very brave. But, his lie to Merle about Andrea being with the group showed that they don't have the big numbers of people he was bragging to Merle about. Governor was very creepy with Maggie. Frankly, I'm surprised he didn't rape her. That would be more like him. I did like that Maggie and Glenn are now back together. Between the two of them, I hope they can figure a way out. Didn't get that encounter in the forest at all. Who was that guy. Why did he seem to think he could call the police? And Michonne's killing him seemed heartless. Using him to get away was good, though. But the whole thing seemed pointless. Looks like we're in for a real showdown next week. I'm sure we're going to lose some people, but I hope it's none of ours. We've lost too many of them lately. But Andrea is now on my list of expendables. Hope the few they left back at the prison manage to hold off the people Governor sent there. While I'm looking forward to next week, I also dread it: both for wondering who's not going to make it and the fact that it's the last episode for a while.

Carl is a tough little guy. I think Michonne respects him too based on the way they were eyeballing each other inside the prison. The showdown is going to be darn bloody. I understand now what you mean about becoming attached to people and then losing them. We have not had the ex-cons all that long, but I don't want them to be killed next week. In the preview, Andrea was with the Governor when the gunfire was being exchanged. He looked shocked at her response to what he said. It sounded to me like she said "I saw them", but I don't think that would shock Governor. Did you catch that exchange? I awakened suddenly from a dream and it took me a moment to realize it was a nightmare about what the Governor was doing to Maggie. That really surprises me because I don't have nightmares and do not usually remember having a dream. Governor did give me chills the way he was sniffing her and touching her.

I think I saw/heard something that indicated Andrea was aware of her former group being there.

Andrea's response about 'seeing them'...might have been directed at the floating heads in the fish tanks.
Did you notice that when the 'retrieval team' first left their vehicle and encountered heavy walker masses...Michonne did not kill a single one. She was watching and evaluating her new allies in terms of ability, strength and fearlessness.
Having not read the books...I would like to see Merle and Darryl join forces ...kill the Governor and take over the town...while leaving Rick and all survivors of his group to retreat back to the prison and make their own way in peace.

The citizens of Woodbury do not deserve to survive. At first glance it seems like a scene out of Pleasantville. They are not innocent. They revel in walker games and violence. They do not deserve to survive.

Well, it's about damn time you weighed in on a zombie series, my friend. Those heads--I don't think anyone had mentioned them before. How perfectly grotesque. Isn't the Governor a wonderfully complicated bad guy? Like Herschel, he seeks a cure for a family member afflicted, yet he's got those heads still alive in his bedroom. He's such a nice guy on the surface, yet an evil incarnate at heart. He makes me think of Nazi Germany, and, of course, the big question, (a la George Romero) is, who is more dangerous, the walkers or the humans?

You are absolutely right about Michonne being in evaluation mode.

They do not deserve to survive. You're awfully hard on the Woodbury townsfolk. They're probably like most people: weak and scared and happy to let someone else do the hard stuff as long as it means they're safe. And quite capable to closing their eyes and ears to anything that might seem.....out of order. After all, their entire world has been ripped inside out (no pun intended). I'd like to think I'd be brave, but part of me wonders if I would be one of the weak ones.

They do not deserve to survive. As a writer I would see this as a setup in the storyline foreshadowing that that the Woodbury contingent will fail. You're basically giving the reader/viewer a reason to be unsympathetic to them by revealing those zombie fights. Still, I wouldn't put all of the townspeople in the 'bad' camp, just those who went to the fights. Or who know what the Governor is really like.
