After last week's VERY weak episode, I'm looking forward to tonight. It had better be good since it's going to have to hold us until the series returns sometime in 2013.

I can see that if I don't go ahead and watch last night's episode I'm gonna be spoiled all over the internet on sites like Entertainment Weekly and TV Guide with all of the details, so I'm starting in on it right now.

I think the episode delivered on the promise of moving us forward to the next big issue. If no one has power, they have a dilemma, but if only the big bad has power, they have a serious problem. Miles made the smartest decision in using Neville's beloved wife as leverage. Miles made an interesting reveal when he said the wife was the only thing Neville loved and Neville did not deny it. Poor unloved Jason. I am not concerned about Neville's threat because he would have killed Miles anyway if he had the opportunity. If Miles knew how Neville mistreated Danny, he probably would have killed him. I did not expect Charlie to be placed with Rachel and was surprised at their encounter. It does make sense though that Charlie would not go running into Rachel's arms. She was heartbroken when her mother walked away. Charlie has a take charge attitude when it comes to rescuing her brother. Good for her. Miles' and Monroe's encounter was touching. Shoot! - I actually felt empathy for Monroe when he exposed his vulnerability and desperate need for Miles to once again be his family. I know Miles created a monster with the words he said to Monroe. He probably ripped away the last shred of humanity Monroe was holding onto. Thank goodness Aaron lit the bombs. He is no longer inadequate. One of the things I have noticed all along is that Aaron is not built like a track star, but he never holds them back when they need to race for freedom. I'll post more when thoughts pop up.

Loved it! Gave it a 5. Full redemption for last week's crap festival. Anti, I agree with everything you said. Now, two minor points: 1. Why wasn't the outside of this big plant guarded? That seemed weak. 2. How did Rachel know the "Aaron" Nora mentioned was the Aaron Pittman she knew? And what is their relationship? Maybe that's why he feels so protective of Charlie. It was good to see Rachel kill Strausser. What a soulless bastard he was. The only thing I was surprised at is that Rachel didn't take the time to destroy or sabotage the "accelerator." All she had to do was pull out the pendant. I'm surprised she didn't do that. Good to see Mark Pelligrino is still an active part of the show. I hope he doesn't slide into Strausser's shoes. All they mentioned is that the show returns in 2013. They didn't mention a month. Dammit! I want it back in January, but I bet that's not the case. Looks like the upcoming episodes are going to be good. Is it 2013 yet?

I am happy too that Mark Pellegrino is still in the show. Rachel did react to the name Aaron rather strongly. Even if they had contact at some point because of his expertise, her immediate reaction was surprising. Based on her comment to Strausser, he did torture her, and she killed him. Good point about pulling the plug on the accelerator. That reminds me, did we ever determine why Rachel and Grace can easily turn the pendant on, but Aaron had no control over it? Did I sleep through the episode when Grace and the dude were supposed to play a role with the map?

Hey, you're right. They were left completely out of the picture. I wonder what role they'll play when the series returns in 2013? The guy who plays Sebastian really has the ability to look completely mad. That crazed look on his face was absolutely scary. So, why, if Miles is sorry he didn't kill Sebastian "last time," did he not shoot him? Why did he lower his gun? 'Hey, I'm sorry you're not dead at my hands, and although I have enough fire power in my hands to turn you into a little grease spot on the wall, I think I'll lower my weapon and let you get close enough to try to grab it out of my hands.' Goofy.

SoCal, I think it is because Kripke is a Western fan. They like the men to do hand-to-hand or, in this case, blade-to-blade combat. It's more personal, tougher, and takes more time. He couldn't shoot his former BFF as if he was a rabid dog, but it's okay to gut him. I did wonder about that, but I love to see Miles draw a blade.

Wow, Charlie meeting her mom again so early into the episode--great. But Charlie remaining suspicious seemed so right for her character. Kudos to them for bringing Strausser to the cell with Charlie and her mother. Talk about ratcheting the tension up. Really liked getting more of the backstory on Miles and Monroe. And oh my god, I just saw it. Way to go, Rachel! She got Strausser. I loved the look on Miles's face when he sees that she's killed Strausser. And then she slaps him when you think she's gonna hug him. And a final face-off between Miles and Monroe? What a great dramatic moment. And I kept hoping it would get to the point where swords would be involved. (Made extra cool by the point when they back-referenced it all coming down to swords in the flashback.) I'm liking Aaron more and more. He's this show's antithesis of Darryl on The Walking Dead, another character I love dearly. He's the anti-redneck nerdy smart guy who's developing into a hero. And what a final 'oh shit' moment, with the helicopter. This episode gave me all I wanted in a midseason finale--other than another new episode next week.

Maybe that's why pirate movies are so popular! Miles looked pretty evenly matched in that fight with Sebastian, but I think he might have won if those other guys hadn't shown up. Wow, three guys shooting at him and he manages to get out without a scratch! That Miles......he's darn good. And Charlie, bashing that militan guy with the wall grate. Guess god fighting abilities run in that family. It must have skipped their dad and Danny, but the Rachel, Miles and Charles sure are tough.

So far, the episode has received three 5's. That is an indication they did it right! If Danny hangs with Charlie, Rachel and Miles, the next time he gets free of handcuffs, he will know how to get away. ;D

Yeah, how many times has that kid gotten captured, tried to escape and gotten re-captured? He really has bad luck. Do you think he will turn out to be interesting at all? So far, he has been just so much baggage. I really know nothing about him, except that he is Charlie's younger brother. Is he anything else?

Well, Kripke said in an interview "And [we hinted that] Rachel and Miles have a very secret history," so, who knows what other ways Danny might be connected?

There was just a brief glimpse that there was something more (as there was with Rachel and Aaron) that hasn't been revealed yet about that relationship. Also, no one has mentioned yet how the fact that the militia now has helicopters ratchets up the tension, since our heroes basically have, well, swords.

Now that you mention it, did they ever say that Rachel went with Miles so that her family would not be harmed? Her husband did not protest her leaving, but his remarks to Charlie about Rachel sounded very resentful. They need to clear that up for people like me who are not reading between the lines too well. Uh... we would like to think the Matheson clan is so good with swords and a crossbow that the helicopter pilot might surrender. Okay, it's past my bedtime and I am getting silly. Good night.

Why do I always spoil myself before watching the episode? I'm going to watch it now, and hopefully when it returns in 2013, I will be much better with keeping up with the show. I finally watched the episode. It was intense! I can't wait for the next new episode, I hope that it comes back in January!

Hmmmmmm....Rachel and Aaron.....Rachel and Miles......
Are Charlie and Danny only half-brother and sister? Was Ben the father of both? Or did Rachel diddle Aaron AND Miles and is one of them the father of either one of the kids?
Wow...my head is spinning with the possibilities.

Okay, I saw it.
By the way, you can't delete something from a VHS tape as someone told me to, although you can tape over it, accidentally or otherwise.
Knowing I'd never get a better chance, I watched the movie that was on the tape and made sure to watch "Revolution" too so I wouldn't lose it.
It was better, I'll say that. At least we saw the power come back on in a way we haven't before.
I'm out of time so I'll finish later.

Gah. I'm such a dolt. I thought that since most of my shows are going into midseason draught this week that Revolution was.
Imagine the actors, knowing that they've got a great show, yet finding out that just as it's getting started everything will stop dead in the water for 2-3 months.
The first episode was broadcast Oct. 2nd. The network really thinks that you can take a break when a show is barely 2 months old?
Seems like we are dealing geniuses of the type that were with Fox, and did the same kind of number on Firefly.
Way to kill your own product, Einsteins.

I was so upset because I knew by the time it returns, I will definitely need a refresher so that I can appreciate character development and still care about the characters. Not that the show has been on long enough for too much character development, but we have seen Miles change and start to really care about his family. We saw near the last scene that Charlie has learned to really care about Miles too. Instead of running, she waited for him and he said "Run, idiot!" I won't remember that in March. I do know that the attempts at explaining why they are taking a long break are a major fail!
