Before J.R. Ewing, were there "villains we love to hate"? Probably, but Mr. Hagman perfected them.
Then Michael Rosenbaum took the concept to a whole other level.

Of course, I liked J. R. Ewing better than "Smallville" Lex, because J. R. was always smiling and charming. More like Clark. Okay, not the Clark who moped over Lana ...

Larry played 'Master' on I DREAM OF JEANNIE! sign of good actor is covering different genres well!!! he was a bit creepy playing JR as a senior citizen. did ANYONE expect JR to live past the 20th century??? REALLY???!!!
