It's a rule for any image that is seen on the boards, whether it'd be a link in a thread, an avatar, or a picture in your signature, a direct link from another website is considered hotlinking. I don't get it. A person can choose to click on a link. It doesn't require extra work for the ProBoards servers.

Is it too late to come to your house for dinner? Take the 5 north transfer to the 210 forwards Palmdale get off on the Sunland Blvd exit and then post here for further instruction. Yorkshire Pudding all ate up. It is never too late (or too early) to eat a good piece of beef.

Some Christmas stories from Mike Huckabee:
A child wanted to know how Santa Claus gets down a metal pipe going up from a stove. He uses a key.
A grandfather says he cheats Santa, putting a metal washtub under a sock with a hole. Santa fills the sock up but the presents fall in the tub and the sock never gets full, so santa has to keep filling it with more stuff. The sock is full, and Grandpa's washtub has coal, and old boot with a hole, and other stuff no one wants.
A child sitting on Santa's lap is overheard by a reporter. All the child wants a job for Daddy. The reporter puts the word out and Daddy is offered a job.

That's a long trip to make but if there's Irish whiskey, I might be motivated. Black Bush would be nice.

I knew I wouldn't have time to post from my aunt's house this year. And I was busy yesterday.
I arrived at 3:30 and several people were already there. I had been told no one would be home until 4. But they had just gotten there. I ran out of time to look at the children's letters to Santa in the local newspaper on Sunday so I finished that (six-year-olds asking for iPods, iPads, and iPhones!) and looked at the most recent paper.
I don't know when we finally ate (see the Food Thread), but sometime around 6 I was still in another room and didn't know they were opening presents until they had started. Usually there's a big announcement but some people, including kids, were still in another part of the house. But this year there were few wrapped boxes. Mostly envelopes this time. And the oldest grandchild and his wife were late for that.
I counted 26 people, 22 in the room where the presents were opened.
This year the big present for my aunt and uncle was getting their house cleaned. I was under the impression they already paid to have that done. But this was a case where the family (not including me) was paying for it.
More photos were taken but I looked at myself. I hadn't shaved all week and my hair was a mess.

In Mike Huckabee's last Christmas-related broadcast, he told the story of a little girl who was asked to help the less fortunate. She gave her favorite Barbie and clothes that went with it. Her mother said not to give her favorite toy, but the girl said, "If you only give what you don't want, it's not really giving."
There were two other stories, but that was the best.

I forgot two details from our Christmas celebration.
"Turn your trains around!"
And the three daughters and the daughter-in-law did the cleaning up.
No, don't ask why I didn't help. I generally do such a lousy job they'd have to work harder cleaning up what I did than doing it themselves in the first place. At least at home it's just my stuff and I probaly did a good enough job.

Kimba seems to think there is a rule against this. She changed my post on the OLD FACES COME SEE thread on the Charmed board. That's where my photo is. I haven't looked at it yet, but if the URL address you gave is correct, that would constitute hot-linking, as it comes from DavidHayes1956's website rather than a Photobucket or other image-sharing account of your own. So, yes, there is a very prominent rule against that, and Kimba was doing her job. UPDATE: I see that she even took the image and hosted it on her own PhotoBucket account for you, so you might want to thank her for that. It's a rule for any image that is seen on the boards, whether it'd be a link in a thread, an avatar, or a picture in your signature, a direct link from another website is considered hotlinking. displacedcwloungefan.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=charmd&thread=1267&page=6#89219Anti says no.

This was such a great thread from last year. Time to bump it up and add to it, don't you think?

We have one potential newcomer this year. One cousin has a girlfriend who was there last Sunday.
And we're eating lunch.

I think this is the best musical gift I've seen this Christmas. I think it's brilliant, beautiful and amazing.
What do you think?

Ho, ho, ho!
Merry Christmas to all of you.
Don't forget that Jesus is the reason for the season.
And Obama and all his allies get a lump of coal for failing to recognize that unlike me, they cannot give and give without someone paying. And many people have paid this year in ways they didn't want to.
Ho, ho, ho! Old Santa is tired.

My own Santa is apolitical, but thinks of Alice in Wonderland when he's remembering Tea Parties.
Merry Christmas, my friends!

Quoting a six-year-old girl, Mike Huckabee just said, "Mommy, it's not really giving if you only give what you don't want."

The season is upon us so, post away. What are your favorite traditions, foods, drinks, etc.? I'll start with something from my childhood. Enjoy: GREAT post! I LOVE The Royal Guardsman! AND the music from Charlie Brown specials.

Last year, my youngest brother gave me this thing that actually scrambles an egg while it's still in the shell. I wrapped it, and gave it to him this year.
