I've read lots of positive comments about SMG in this movie.
She was a pop singer whose manager embezzled and then dealt with these mobsters who told her they owned her and she'd have to do exactly what they said.
At the end she nearly committed suicide but Kevin Bacon saved her. So we know SMG's Kevin Bacon number is one.
