Found objects derive their identity as art from the designation placed upon them by the artist and the social history that comes with the object.
Found Subject: The 'You Bet Your Life' TV show. Game show...1955.
The $80 question was..."What is a leotard?"
The contestant's answer:..."A slow person...or individual"

That is funny! Groucho was nice about it, but hosts of today would have made fun of them.

What you mean is that hosts of today would have been crude.
Groucho possessed the same quality that Johnny Carson had, that of allowing yourself to step back, and let your guests be funny just by being themselves.
Art Linkletter was also a master of this technique.
They both knew the incredibly rare and gracious art of allowing someone else to be the funny one.

MisterMoonlight, those videos gave me so many gut busting guffaws that my stomach hurts. Steve Martin is hilarious! And the children are so cute. I do not know which is my favorite, but I like "the more wine you have, the better the wedding" and God's punishment was to send them to Los Angeles; also God's punishment for Eve was to make her a housewife. Yes, I did mean "crude".

I loved the line where Linkletter said to the little boy, "Hey, you're a diplomat, aren't you?" and the kid responded, "No, I'm a Catholic Baptist." Does such a thing exist?

While watching an old episode of Naked City...I noticed a copy of Amazing Fantasy #15...first appearance of Spiderman...at a magazine stand.
