I start so many books at the same time, that I sometimes forget which books to continue and which aren't worth finishing.

I tried to read J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit when I was in college, and try as I might, I just could not get into it nor follow all of the characters. When Peter Jackson's first movie in the Lord of the Rings trilogy came out I loved it, so I tried reading the book again, only to have absolutely the same result as before.

These are not classics like those mentioned above, but I could not force myself to finish them. I kept thinking there are too many nteresting books out there and I did not want to force myself to finish them.
Bad Boys in Kilts by Donna Kauffman - was not what I expected
The Lord of Illusion - interesting but I kept putting it down and never finished

The Passage by Justin Cronin (did not enjoy after first 350 pages so I stopped reading) - It dragged on and on and it seemed like a second story was inserted between the beginning and ending of the book. This is the only book I started that did that.
