Hello and welcome to the story of The Mysterious Theater. This story is about an ordinary looking theater that holds a deep dark secret. What is this deep dark secret? I can’t tell you but you’ll have to read the story and find out for yourself. This story has plenty of suspense, spills, thrills and much more. I hope that you will enjoy the story as well as the illustrations. This story is no ordinary story so I’ll keep you guessing throughout the entire story until the very end. Chapter 1
A mysterious murder

Long ago there was once a mysterious movie theater. Now this theater looked very normal and ordinary on the outside. But inside it held a deep dark secret. One rainy Monday morning around 10 o’clock Luke the manager arrived for work. Luke was a friendly and outgoing type of person and would be the same way if you meet him on the street. Around 10:15, Terri who is Luke’s shy wife arrived for work and began cleaning up the hallways. Luke meanwhile began to work to on the movie screen since it had been torn in a previous viewing of one of the movies playing there. Then Terri, went backstage to clean up the dressing rooms that were used by the local drama club since they sometimes held performances at the theater. Around 10:18, Charles the snack vendor arrived for work. Now Charles was a curious type of person but didn’t like to talk very much since he was mostly a silent type of person. Meanwhile Luke had gone backstage to help Terri out since the dressing rooms needed a lot of work and Terri couldn’t handle the job all alone. Around 10:30, Sally and Phil who were the theater’s ushers arrived for work. By now Luke and Terri had gone to the lobby to go help Charles set up his snack stand. Now Sally was a very talkative person began to help by putting away the extra boxes of popcorn and candy mixes. Phil had meanwhile put on his usher uniform since it was almost time to open up the theater for the first viewing for the movie “King Kong”. Now Phil was a funny and cracking joke type of person, he began to get the drinks ready after putting his uniform on. Shortly afterwards, Sally put on her uniform too since it was almost time for work. After the first viewing, five loud continuous gunshots were heard followed by two loud moans. It was Luke and he had been shot in the chest five times in a row. Terri was sobbing and wouldn’t stop shaking like a leaf. Phil drove them to the hospital and Terri was worried sick about Luke. When they reached the hospital, Luke was examined right away but by then it was too late since Luke had lost too much blood. At 1:25 p.m., Luke Alexander Benson passed away.

Chapter 2
Who killed Luke and why?

For two months, the theater was closed to show their respect to Luke and respect Terri’s wishes since she wasn’t ready to reopen it right after Luke’s death. After the two months had passed Terri was ready to reopen the theater again and businesses was going well since everyone in town attended the reopening to show their support for Terri and to honor Luke’s memory. Terri couldn’t understand why anyone would want to kill Luke since he was such a likable person. Everyone in town felt bad for Terri because here she was a widow already at 31 and had no children to carry on the Benson name. Nobody could figure why the killer had chosen to kill Luke since he was he was such a friendly and outgoing type of person. Phil, Sally and Charles promised to take care of Sally and Sally offered to let Terri live with her until things settled down. Terri was impressed by how nice Sally’s place looked and Sally explained that it had belonged to her older sisters’ until they died of scarlet fever and she still missed them very much. Sally and Terri decided to go out for lunch at the local restaurant. Then they went to the police station to see if they could investigate the murder of Luke. The police told Terri and Sally that they would do their best to find out who killed Luke. After leaving the police station, they went to the park where they met the mayor and he conveyed his sympathy over the loss of Luke and reassured Terri that the police had everything under control.
