Everyday I am prompted to view the "Word of the Day" and I often wonder if anyone ever uses those words in sentences.
So, the goal of this thread is to see how we can cleverly make up sentences for words we would ordinarily not use.
Today's word is violescent which means tending to a violet color.
Dean looked at his girlfriend's violescent dress and immediately saw red.
Would anyone else like to play?

The baby's face turned a strange color, to the babysitter it seemed to be violescent colored but to the social services, it was a color that meant harm and endangerment.

There's too much sex and violescence on television these days. Should I admit that's how I would have used the word if we were not given the definition?

After a night at the buffet, my time in the bathroom seems so violescent. In color AND pain.

Pseudosaccharomycetaceae: a family of yeastlike fungi (order Moniliales) that do not germinate by repetition This is a lesson for me to get up earlier than SoCal!When the chef yelled at me for using Pseudosaccharomycetaceae to make the bread rise, I reminded him that I failed Culinary Arts.
Just in case anyone wants to know the Dictionary Word of the Day, it is: Couthie- adj. meaning agreeable; genial, kindly I thought they said the Moderator was uncouth, but they insist they meant she was very couthie.
Have fun with either one.

Wait, what? You're unceremoniously dumping my word for another? Where are the dictionary police? I've been mugged!

No, no! Not dumping, just offering the choice of a word I can actually pronounce.

I am always suspicious of Spoonie's winks.
Dictionary Word of Today is aumildar - noun meaning a manager or agentThe diva had become very popular singing in local lounges and wanted to become known nationally. She posted a request on-line for an aumildar to represent her, but she was sent an armadillo instead. Your turn.

Good one, Anti! Our current Evicted Book Club synchro-read, A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving wouldn't have had a hand in you thinking of armadillos, would it?

Thank you, Mazeman; I am glad you like it. If we had prizes, you would get one for writing a sentence that sounds as if you use that word on a regular basis.
