So Charlie is back. After running far from Dick and the boys, Charlie turns up as the "queen" of a ren-faire. However, there seems to be some nasty goings on that bring Dean and Sam to check it out.
Chain mail, crowns and swords, oh my!

Disappointing, IMO. I gave it a 2. I was hoping for something more. And I don't want to see two women making out. Sorry, but I'm old fashioned in some things. The ending was silly. Please let next week's episode be better. Can you hear me Erik Kripke?

"At least they're talking." So true, at least they're talking, and they even had some fun together. I cannot remember the last time they had fun together. I plan on giving this one a 4 because it had drama and humor. SPN seems to have increased the gore factor during the last two seasons or maybe I don't remember it being so gory during S1-S3. I enjoyed the humor, but anyone who did not see "300" might have missed some of the references.Dean's reaction when frizby player interrupted his motivational speech. "Did you really think that sentence was going to clear things up?"I have probably had that same expression at least 100 times. Belladona. "The porn star?" Maybe the scene with Charlie and the fairy was thrown in to remind fans that Charlie will never be a love interest, but I think we had already gotten that message.

Aeryn, I know you did not record it, but did you watch it at all? If a skeptic is jumping on the Cas wagon, maybe you should give it another try.

For the record, I liked this episode. I found it hilarious from basically start to finish.
Really the only places I didn't find myself laughing was when the two guys got killed and Dean's speech to Sam towards the end when he was saying he understood that Sam gave something serious up to stay--or however he said it.
I, too, liked Charlie sort of getting on Dean's case about the text message and Sam giving up normal again. Because I think he needed to hear something along those lines from somebody other than Sam, or even Cas.

Why did you vote on the poll if you have not seen it?

My new pattern is to watch the episodes several times and then think about it before I respond and vote, so I voted it a 2, this is not my favorite. I think it will be easier to do likes and dislikes about this one. Like- Dean looks so good in this one in his costume!!!!! Sam smiles at the pretty blonde and he has more chemistry with her than with Boring (Amelia) Did I say Sam smiled in this one? he looks so cute when he smiles, I have missed him smiling. I liked Dean shooting the gun and scaring the Larper's, I liked the guys being busted on the fake badges. I like Dean and Sam talking in this one, Dean trying to make things better with Sam. I kind of liked Dean and Charlie talking, I can tolerate Charlie she is OK, but she is someone I don't want to see all the time, like Garth. Dislikes- I am getting tired of the same locations being used all the time and no effort put into making them at least look a little different, i think we have seen the same interrogation room 3 times this season so far. I don't like Bob Singer being the one to narrate or be the voice we hear on the TV, he has such an emotionless, uninspiring voice it take me right out of the moment. I got tired of Charlie and her radiant attraction she had going on Seriously? Last year in Party on Garth when the scene came on with Garth and the sock puppet I cringed, I thought it was awful and so unlike SPN, until the last 2 minutes of this one, and I felt exactly the same, I thought it was silly and unlike SPN but then the whole episode felt like it to me anyway for the most part. I applaud SPN for being brave and trying new things, I like that they go outside of the box, they are unique in how they try. Honestly I could see this one in 2 different ways, one side says it was funny and light, the other side says it was silly and lame. I guess this one could be taken either way.

SammyS, I am glad you like Cas, he kind of grows on you doesn't he? I love Sam and Dean and there is no SPN without them period. But Cas does give the show a different feel and tone and he does add a lot to it, even last season when he was only in 4.1 episodes.

I've never understood why some people are so in love with the girl who plays Charlie. I don't get it. I don't think she's particularly gifted as an actress. And that hair -- she looks like Lucille Ball! Tone it down a little, you're blinding me. And the constant lesbian references in this last episode got a little nauseating.

I do like Charlie, she is one of my favorite characters. I hope to see her in future episodes. I love the way Charlie and Dean get along. I could totally picture then going to a bar to pick up chicks together. I don't care who she makes out with. She is just fun. My problems with this episode is I found the story predictable. In the Supernatural world we were told to 'Fight the Fairies" then this episode comes along and the fairy is a poor victim I don't like that in my head the fairies are evil. This is a departure from what we know. I did enjoy the relationship between Sam and Dean in this episode. Nice to see them having fun. Jensen should never grow out his hair. I don't like it long. I'll pass the note along to his hairstylist because I'm sure my opinion matters to him. I gave it a 2 it had good moments but overall forgettable.

I find her funny, I like the red hair it goes with her bright personality, and if she is a lesbian she won't be a love interest to Sam or Dean that's a plus. The love interest angle is boring and overdone on this show. Charlie is more like their annoying, but entertaining little sister. That is my opinion and why I like her. She lightens the show and adds an element of fun. The writers do lose some of the audience by over doing the lesbian thing. It's not needed in the story line. It doesn't really bug me, but I can see it bothering other people. It's not good to alienate some for your loyal fans. There is very little the writers can do to alienate me. Mainly being predictable is a huge problem for me. The story needs to stay fresh and interesting or I'm annoyed.

"The Guild" It is so worth watching (youtube). Hilarious and well written, particularly later seasons. "The Guild" is one of the most successful web series. I checked it out because of this epi, and I'm glad I did. I do get annoyed with "Charlie knows best". I have trouble watching epis, and i didn't watch this one. But I did hear SPN fans talk about it, and had to check out Felicia Day.
