I think Kevin Bacon is doing a good job as Ryan, the tortured hero. He’s smart, but he needs to hone his fighting skills if he wants to keep up with the followers. Agent Debra Parker looked as if she admired Professor Carroll. That’s scary. Emma, Jacob and Paul have some crazy dangerous love triangle going.

This second episode was just as good as the first. So, there was a little hanky-panky going on between Ryan and the sicko's wife. It bet that is really sticking in his craw. And those accolytes! Man-o-man, what is it about a man who romantisizes the act of dying and death that is so appealing? That ending! The person in the Poe mask throwing the flammable liquid over ANY person at a roadside food stand and setting him on fire! Yikes. Oh, and the "safehouse" the feds discovered by accident. Again, yikes! Hey, is that new female fed one of the sicko's followers? What book did she bring him in prison? What's her story? Looking forward to chapter 3. Agent Parker certainly did seem to bat her eyes at Carroll. She gave him a complete works of Edgar Allen Poe. I haven't read Poe for over 20 years. I think I will read some of the stuff talked about in the show, but I need to re-watch and write down the titles. That masked guy is truly a sicko and he must be the one who hit Ryan and got away, but I have no idea who he is. Maybe they should take some DNA off the masks that were left at the house. Prof. Carroll is appealing because he is handsome and he has an accent. That would not account for all those males following his commands. That stupid bumbling security guard is making the police look completely worthless. I usually find fault with shows that make cops look worthless (The Mentalist, Psyche), but I still watch them. So that is not keeping me from really enjoying this show.

Yeah, the English accent must be what's reeling them all in.
Poor Ryan. He gets knocked out in each episode. If he's not lucky, he'll be as pounded as Kiefer Sutherland was in "24," which is sort of what this show reminds me of.

I loved '24' and this show is fast paced and action packed like that. It also has the "Ryan has to take action now or someone will die" vibe so we don't judge him for breaking the law or torturing the followers.
