So here we are kids....episode 8.16 "Remember the Titans." Don't know what this has to do with the angel tablet or Kevin or Crowley. Looks like a stand-alone episode. It's also the last episode as we enter a three-week mini-hellatus. So it had better be good to tide us over until the next new episode.

I love the stand alone "monster" episodes. This one was pretty good. But based on the promo I can't wait for the next one! Which isn't until.... wahhhhh March 20th MEG IS BACKKKK.. and Cas. Hopefully some Megstiel action.

Major disappointment. I gave it a 1. The only redeeming quality it had was the last 60 seconds when Dean was praying to Castiel to watch out for Sam. Dean knows that Sam is suffering. Sam is trying to hide it from Dean, but Dean knows his little brother too well. Boy, I hope when the show resumes with new episodes on March 20, there is a major uptick in story-telling. This episode was just...sad.

I was unprepared for the final scene and tears welled up before I could adjust my psyche. My guard was down after midnight and Supernatural was delayed by a basketball game. That was the best scene for me in spite of that. I was enjoying the episode until it became obvious the boy's mother was going to release Zeus from the trap. Sam showed his smarts when he realized that a great hunter would certainly be able to find Prometheus. And Dean showed his smarts by not pushing Sam about what is wrong with him. He did the best he could by asking for help from our Angel.

I absolutely love alpha male macho Dean. When Zeus was trying to sucker them into releasing him from the trap, Dean stood toe to toe and told him in that deep, sexy voice "Don't be that guy.". Dean does not blink! But he will pray for his baby brother. No one seems to care whether the curse was broken or not. Just sayin'.

I absolutely LOVE it when Dean's eyes go snaky and his voice gets really low and growly. And then, like you said, to see him pouring out his heart to find help for his "little brother."

I liked this one, I thought it was a decent episode, I gave it a 3. I realize that it didn't have the best story and there were a few flaws but for me, it was way better than last week. The writing was better and all the guest stars were good, I enjoyed them all and I liked the special effects in this. For me the best parts were Sam and Dean, from the beginning where Sam tries to hide from Dean what is happening (Dean isn't buying it) and Sam trying to change the conversation. I enjoyed seeing Dean relaxed in his bathrobe with a cup of coffee, have we ever seen Dean this relaxed without artificial enhancement? Dean in the bathrobe , I liked how Sam is getting better and faster doing research, I am not saying that Dean can't , but he doesn't really like to and I am fine with Sam doing it, besides he seems to like doing it. I like how he "tricked" Artemis (sp?) and they were able to save the boy in the end. I like how Sam very quietly tried to find a way to make the boy forget about what was going on, even though the boy refused his offer. Dean and his geeky knowledge , he can be so funny and the facial expressions that Jensen does are great, yet he can also be a bad ass in about 2 seconds flat. Dean never backed down from Zeus and would have done what he needed to to save the little boy. The conversation in the car and Dean's prayer at the end, wow, that was great. I like that Sam "almost" admitted to Dean what was really going on, even though Dean already knows that something is wrong. I love sweet Sam, and protective Dean, it never gets old for me. The prayer at the end was perfect, Dean praying for Cas to help watch out for Sam, to me it shows that Dean realizes that they are up against something huge, and he knows he will need all the help he can get. i was halfway expecting Cas to show up, but I think if he had it would have taken away from that scene.

I watched the ending again and noticed that Dean was the one giving comfort to the mother by putting his arm around her shoulder and Sam was the one who was bonding with the child. That's okay but a little different than what I am used to.
