The Following 1x09 "Love Hurts" Monday, March 18th on FOX.

With Weston still in the hospital, Ryan and Parker attempt to outsmart their new leader Nick (guest star Mike Colter) as a way to continue their search. In a surprising move, Joe reaches out to Ryan to demand Claire's location and reveals that he will go to great lengths to lure her out of FBI custody. Meanwhile, followers from the past make a shocking return in the "Love Hurts" episode.

I am anxiously awaiting this episode to see how it plays out. How many Claires will they track down and kill? I hope Ryan does not get Claire's location from Mike. Mike was the only one I really trusted besides Ryan so now I don't know who we can trust. The cult expert could become so fascinated with Joe Carroll that she might succumb to his charm.

I liked this episode. There was drama, intrigue, star-crossed lovers, and, of course, murder.

It is interesting how people take words and twist them to suit their purpose. How does "insist on happiness" mean kill your cheating husband and his mistress, chop them up and toss them in the swamp? Unique interpretation and Amanda has been crazy since at least 2007. She was versatile with weapons-spear gun, nail gun, knife, anything available like a window.

As far as Jacob's initiation goes, I am not sure mercy killing qualifies. Why do those followers think that having someone they love kill them gives their lives meaning? I do not understand that.

Earlier, I was thinking that if Emma tried to challenge Roderick that she would lose. Then he arranged for Jacob to blindside her.

I am glad Ryan was able to save someone tonight. He endures a lot of criticism and stress and maybe saving someone helps to make it worthwhile.

Jeez! This show really creeps me out. Who ARE these people?

Didn't see the smothering of the guy Emma left behind with her boyfriend. Ryan's body count is really going up.

Throwing that woman out of the window?? OMG!

Roderick is very creepy but I sort of like how he's messing with Emma. She's such a slut. And boy is she getting pissed that Joe doesn't seem to be as enamored of her as she is of him. Hey, Emma.....psychos are like that!

I really hate Nick. He's a martinette and can't seem to think outside of the box. Maybe that will get HIM killed. <sorry>

Where was Joey this whole episode? What happened to Jason's mom and dad. Did he just leave or are we going to find out that he killed them?

This show really is creepy. They kill random people in a violent manner and they feel no remorse. I don't think Jason has the heart to kill his mother, but his relationship with his father did not sound good.

I was glad Roderick was messing with Emma because Emma is a sociopath and will probably lie to Jacob about why she did not answer his calls.

I see they better not get on your "hate" list.

If Joe wants Joey to think he is not a bad guy, they must keep Joey away from all public media. I can't keep myself from wanting to see Joe "train" Joey the way he did Roderick.

Question: How does Joe think he is going to have a happy little family reunion when he drags Claire to that house with his crazy followers?
