I saw a newspaper article which was about a month old (some of you may know why I'm so far behind looking at newspapers) where the writer said something was like one of those scenes where Lorelai and Rory are the only ones who know what's going on. She highly recommended the show.

I haven't seen any mentions of the show so far but I'm often seeing some of the cast on other shows but I'll be looking for mentions of the show

Bernadette Peters plays Ivy's mother on "Smash". Ivy and her mom don't get along but that didn't stop the director from hiring the mom to play Marilyn Monroe's mother in the musical where Ivy plays Marilyn.
And yet, even though their relationship was described as "contentious", they're trying too hard to act like they like each other. This is not what the director wants. Instead, he says, they're like the Gilmore Girls.

Cleveland on "The Cleveland Show" supposedly killed his boss' wife and got sent to jail. His cellmate had been in 19 years. Cleveland said he missed a lot. "Gilmore Girls" was cancelled, there was a series called "Gilmore Girls" ...

On "Suburgatory" Tessa and her father George were waiting for a table in a busy restaurant and they met this mother and her son. George later commented on how they reminded him of the Gilmore Girls except one was a guy. I'm surprised a macho man like him would know the show.
I didn't see it myself but they were quite dedicated to each other. I would say they were more like Sheridan and Hyacinth on "Keeping Up Appearances" except we never saw Sheridan.

I've got a quick observation/question I watched once upon a time recently and they were in a diner and it had the look and feel of lukes does anyone know if they are using Luke's old diner? It also made me nostalgic  |

Det. Rosa Diaz on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine", the last person you would expect to like the show, was still mad about the finale. She wanted Lorelai to have a happy ending.
Now the perky Amy would have been more likely to feel this way.

Not exactly about the show, but this week on "Jeopardy" they have the quarterfinals of the Teachers' Tournament. One contestant: Lauren Gilmore.
