I'm becoming more convinced that Castiel's "heavenly" contact, Naomi, is actually working for Crowley. She's just too devious to be one of "the good guys."

SoCal, all I can say is OMG! Your thinking is truly diabolical.

Naomi is the diabolical one. First she tells Cas to kill that poor little angel who survived torture by Crowley and in tomorrow's episode we see her tell Cas to lie. Not very angelic, IMO

So what did everybody think of this episode? I liked it and have a few highlights to share.
I liked that Dean saw Sam's bloody Kleenex in the trash. I wondered how long it would be before he knew just how bad it was. I mean, we know from his prayer to Cas he's aware Sam's in a bad spot, but until he saw the bloody Kleenex, I don't think he realized how bad.
Meg and Cas' "pizza man" conversation was both funny and creepy to me. Also Rachel being a blonde was a little odd. The only times I've seen Rachel in other things besides SPN, she's been a brunette then too.
Probably being picky here, but was a little annoyed at Dean calling Sam out and taking Cas instead to search the crypt for the tablet. However, I did enjoy Sam and Meg's conversation about Sam and what he wants, etc.
I understand that for the episode to play out how it did, they needed to split up with Cas going with Dean and Sam with Meg. However, I kind of felt like Dean calling Sam out at that particular moment/situation felt a little forced. Like TPTB wanted to split the guys up, but they weren't sure how, so they just decided to have Dean admit right then and there that he knew Sam was in a bad way.
As much of a villain as Meg was, I admittedly felt bad when Crowley killed her. Though I was a little miffed that Sam and Dean didn't try to come back and save her.
I LOVED Sam and Dean's conversation at the end in the Impala. Especially Dean's "I can carry you" line. OMG, that line brought tears to my eyes.
Finally, I laughed at Cas just sitting and riding the bus.

Great episode. I loved it. Glad that Dean told Sam he knew Sam was lying about "being fine." How many times is Sam going to lie to Dean? I thought Dean was being careful of husbanding Sam's strength by not bringing him into the crypt where there might be trouble. And boy o boy, he really got a beat down from Cas. Although it seemed a bit dirivative from the "Swan Song" beat-downby Luci-Sam of Dean. Glad that Cas was able to break whatever the bond was holding him to Naomi's will. I don't like her. Loved Meg, as usual. Not the blond hair, though. It seemed off and didn't add anything to the story. Always love her snark with whoever she's talking to.....Sam or Crowley. Glad to see her send Sam off to help Dean and her "unicorn!" Sorry to see that Crowley has killed off Meg. She was a GREAT plus to the show and will be missed. Wonder what Cas meant by keeping the "angel tablet" away from Dean? Is there some connection? Is that why Naomi had him "kill" Dean over and over again? Looks like Cas is back on the straight and narrow. Good to see that. So Naomi and Crowley DO know each other. Somehow, that didn't surprise me. BTW, I gave it a 5.....my first of this season.

I agree with both Waggy and SoCal and rated the episode a 5. I know the list will duplicate what others said, but these are the things that made me either smile, laugh, nod my head, shake my head or protest while I was watching the episode. What I liked:The beginning was wild. Killing Dean was shocking; then seeing the amount of effort it cost Castiel was mind blowing. Asian Beauties – Dean got his hands on a first edition and it put a smile on his lips and love in his heart. Contrast between Dean and Sam over the killing of demons – Dean is happy and Sam is worried. Cas referring to the demon as a “strange haired woman”. Dean asking Meg the same question we have been asking – What’s with the hair? Dean telling Cas he went “Zero Dark 30”. The whole Megstiel scenario. Cas remembers the Pizza Man and it is a good memory. Seriously, the way Castiel looked at Meg after her “let’s order pizza” proposal made me shiver. Crowley Meg is Crowley’s favorite chew toy. When Meg was miffed that Sam did not look for her for a year, I thought wait until she finds out he didn’t look for anyone. Meg’s reaction to Sam’s tale about his year. Castiel on a bus. (I guess he does not want to leave any angel dust that can be detected) This time, I believed Sam when he said he will be truthful with Dean. Did not like:Castiel beating DeanMeg dying Sam being injured at a sub-atomic level. Good thing we know there is a S9 or I would be afraid - very afraid.

I was so happy to see SPN back on this week, I have missed it, even though reruns were on, it wasn't the same.
I gave this a 4, It was a very good episode and I really liked it. Maybe at the end of the season we can have some kind of poll and see what everyone's top 3 were.
I am just going to mention things that I liked or noticed, in no particular order.
At the very beginning of the episode when Cas and Naomi were in the warehouse and he looked down, he looked sad and like he had lost everything. He looked like that when he and Dean were in the crypt and he looked down at the angel tablet before picking it up. Once he picked up the tablet everything changed, but in those 2 moments he looked so sad.
Dean worried for Sam and calling him out for lying. I too believe or at least hope that Sam and Dean can stop with the lying to each other. We have seen glimmers here and there of the guys maturing this season, I am happy to see it.
I have never been a Meg fan and am not sorry to see her go, but she was so snarky and funny this time. I loved the way she said "feelings" . I was also happy to see her help the guys and ultimately save Sam. I still think she would have sold them down the river but I was happy she saved Sam. I found it interesting that Sam could talk to Meg about his life, but not his brother.
I didn't care for that exchange between her and Cas, that was creepy and awkward. I found Robo Cas to be scary, you can't reason with that kind of being. The intensity of emotion between Cas and Dean in the crypt when they were squaring off with each other was fantastic, neither backed down even when Dean was being pummeled, he didn't back down, and his efforts to keep trying to reach Cas worked, I love that scene. I am glad to see Naomi no longer has Cas under control, though she is looking for him. Someone I work with asked me why Cas took the bus, I said it was because if Cas used his powers they might could track him. I still need to see more of Crowley and Naomi to see what is really going on there.

She has reminded them on several occasions that she is a demon so you are no doubt correct in that assessment. I think it is sometimes easier to talk to someone when there is no fear of being judged. Sam doesn't give a crap what Meg thinks of him, but he wants his brother's approval. And it will be a long time - if ever - before Dean will be okay with the Amelia year.
